American here who agrees with Norman Finkelstein that the Houthis should receive The Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to stop ✋🏿 a genocide, and he said that his parents would have been very happy about a quote, ‚rag tag‘ group of fighters who were trying to hinder the German Nazis whilst they were in the Warsaw Ghetto, or in their concentration camps. This despite whatever the Houthis say about America or Jews. Finkelstein is someone I have been hard on lately, but he has been helping the Palestinians just cause to NOT be forgotten for decades.

Thank you Justin. I just was reading the letter to the American college students and had to share it. My first thought was, wow so this is how a leader should be responding to the high moral value of students who have put their lives on the back burner for the Love of another human being. To hear that US elected officials were negative in response really helped me understand why I have this knowingness that I will be leaving this country by December. Provided we aren’t in the final season of Handmade’s Tale by then.

I’m just over sixty, so I remember the hostages from the US embassy, and the oil embargo, although my own father got up for work at five am, and drove a Volkswagen Beetle. He was an FBI agent! He definitely preferred the crime squad, and never said much about politics. He did say about the middle east: We like the Jews and the Arabs have the oil…America does whatever is in ITS INTERESTS. I thought that was an interesting explanation as a response to a ten year old from a personally conservative, hardworking man. Later, I lived with a black man and my father said : It isn’t because you’re black. If she were living with a black girl I would be delighted. I’m upset with Lesley because she’s living with a man. That made my partner feel better. 🇵🇸❤️✌🏽

My response to Issac is that Israeli dissident and Palestine Activist who has REPEATEDLY attacked England‘s Elbit System war manufacturer, I believe that it’s an Israeli company, is a human being who is also Israeli, rare, and proudly anti Zionist and anti Nazi, and he definitely defines Israeli behavior AS Nazi. He’s an excellent Twitter follow…and he follows me at Subversively Surreal. He understands Israeli psychology and he feels that it doesn’t matter what they think. We should not be dependent upon their acceptance of humanity as we didn’t care about the mindset of South Africa when that Apartheid State was abolished. Still he has the most incredible and damning insights. Thanks! ❤️🇵🇸✌🏽

I was definitely subjected to Islamaphobic (spelling?) indoctrination, and I traveled to many countries such as Turkey and Maroc: Question: I would have written this down before my illness and injury, but when I was in Fez, I stayed with wonderful people who had a sheep during Ramadan. Everyone else did too, and they were sad to slit his throat, but we ate it together and it was delicious. They kept the shorn wool in their comfy sofa. Also in Morocco they were VERY trustworthy and very helpful…they made me clothes and I delivered them for the agreed upon low price. Unlike the stereotype that they were thieves. ❤️✌🏽In case this ever ends and I survive and we ever chat about Ramadan under better circumstances. Much LOVE. A person can never receive too much love, help, or support!

Don't remember if I've said already here, but my developing analysis of the psychology at play here... in the theme of "anti-racism", which means we must preclude ideas like collective trauma (in the sense of "the treatment of other people with the same identity makes me the victim too") because telepathy doesn't exist, so we must only explain people's feelings using their own personal experiences. So, you start with a childhood trauma, often parents who hit their children too hard too young. This creates an unexplainable background feeling, many people call it "the empty feeling", as it's the feeling that's left when other feelings aren't there... the feeling may be one of a sense of loneliness, or fear, depending on what the unremembered experience was... not remembering its cause, or remembering a time before, makes it seem like it's just a part of being. In the case of harsh parental violence, this creates the feeling of being a victim, unjustly. Now, what the right wing is very good at doing, is teaching people that this feeling is something to do with their collective identity. You can find this to some degree in any society... but in Israel, their education system ends up teaching just about everyone that the feeling is a consequence of their Jewish identity. It strengthens this collective identity, reinforces it, "I know I'm Jewish, because I feel persecuted, and I know I'm persecuted because I'm Jewish". This is how an individual comes to believe their feelings are collectively acquired, it's the only explanation they have access to. The result, of course, is the narcissistic personality, collectivised gives you a nationalistic narcissism... the entitlement, the superiority, lack of any ability to recognise ones own wrong doing, or even to admit to a mistake. The issues in the country's leadership is an example, each of them blaming the others for things not going right, despite the fact that they would each be doing just about the same thing. It's why Nazis can't win... they just can't work together, they can't correct their own mistakes... in fact, they actually have to prove it wasn't a mistake by doing the wrong thing again deliberately, no matter how self defeating it may be. But yeah, when you have a whole country of people validating this interpretation of a feeling they have... killing people to remove the feeling of being threatened obviously doesn't work, but they become locked into it... the killing becomes impatient, desperate, like a beating shouting "why won't you learn your lesson?!!". The impatience is the bit that's really struck me, in that I wouldn't have guessed/predicted that aspect of it. It's how we can see from various examples, famously Germany, that without somebody stepping in, they can literally run out of people to kill. I must keep reminding myself of this... helps me not hate.

Love your calm breakdown and analysis of this conflict. Most interesting was the reading of the Israeli comments regarding his isolated view as 'us(Israel) against the world' mindset(heart). As a Christian I must state that this represents the true heart of what God had warned and basically indicted Israel by Christ that Israel became The Whore which is Babylon that he wanted His people to come out of-- this exact mindset(heart) of which Christ perceived when he came and made a declaration to the Pharisees and Sadducees ' worshipped him with their lips but their heart was far from him' Unfortunately this is the representation of the zionists Israel. They will deny this of course and this is why Christ was crucified. He called Israel out during his time but they have rejected him and their hard heart is on display as the world watches. God is not pleased, as this Israel is not His people. Very sad indeed.

I really appreciate the grounded, factual, detailed reporting and analysis- it's a real antidote to so much of the puffed up conjecture that passes as journalism elsewhere. And, from sit rep 235, I agree with what you said about being a bit emotionally removed from the material simply in order to get by right now- in doing so, I actually think the material is allowed to 'speak for itself' and therefore is both more potent, and more informative. Thank you again, it's truly invaluable what you're doing here.

I'm thankful you mentioned that taboo thing/s here in the us. It helped me to be able to see how to articulate some of / another of my too many things... eventually... Today my brain has the other / opposite version of the frustration muteness... it's the inspired = same no energy / time / it's almost impossible etc to even try to explain the thousand things... but in the good way... the tiny little glimpses of hope through all of this... I haven't caught up on any of the "news" yet today so this mood will change then.. 💔like every day through all of this..... relates back to your thing the other day about how we have to detach a bit etc..... etc etc etc.... Look up a video from indie nile last night if you didnt see already.. it's a bunch of all the related things that i cant begin / haven't yet been able to explain... etc.. this infinite etc.... The detaching and etc is another of the thousand things.... it is necessary.... they have us all so fully in the inflicted trauma state/s etc that it's almost impossible to feel hope and etc.... We cannot focus on "building the new" because having to combat thier labyrinths of bullshit every day... again that last conversation of the 3 of you and what you explained so well about how we are basically having to waste all our energy on shit that should be givens etc...... that all has been making me insane every day of all of this and why I started going mute in december...... the exasperation etc at the fucking absurdity of so many things... etc !!... I'm pausing... I hope any of that makes sense to you... I'm writing a bit too... fragmented or something.... words !!.... There was more things... of course... but have to pause to not rant books here.....
