I'm currently live in Israel, 26 years old. An intensive studying during this last horrific year made me understand that everything I know about my country was a LIE. I'm working on leaving abroad in a short time, where I will be able to demonstrate for the liberation of the Palestinian people and Palestine without fear of being arrested by police or being attacked by angry mob. Greek here. Christians in the Othoman Empire lived, in the best case, as 4rth class citizens and when there were upheavals etc as slaves or ... dead. Of course in the huge numbers of violent muslimisations, there were cases of Christians who became Muslim/Turks out of profit/interest. But it was the absolute minority. In the general Christian Greek subconsiousness, the Othoman rule was equal to Hell.

There has never been a palestinian people. If there were than Jews who also lived there - just as Arabs - are also "palestinians." The Philistines were an Aegean people - related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguistically, or historically at all with Arabia - they conquered the Mediterranean coastal plain that is now Gaza in the 12th Century BCE. Israel defeated the Philistines back then and drove them out of Gaza. The name Philistine was much later given to Israel by Roman Emperor Hadrian, who's occupation was responsible for several decrees that sought to crush the National identity and religious spirit of the Jews some time after Roman Emperor Titus smashed the Israeli resistance in the year 70 and took most Israelis with them as slaves to spread them all over their huge Empire. But the Roman Empire disappeared and other occupier's toke over the Land such as the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire and the name Philistine was done away with and they renamed the whole region Syria - until the British became the world power and occupier and it was them to rename the whole region Palestina, that is: Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Egypt combined. They even imposed “palestine” passports for the inhabitants of the combined region. So ask yourself: where is the evidence that proves that there was an ancient palestinian State? Where are the old scrolls that describes its history - in it mentioned old Kings, old Rulers, old Governments and Government buildings - where are the old cities, old coins, old ruins, old roads, old harbors, even songs ??? THEY CAN’T SHOW ANY OF THESE MENTIONED ARTIFACTS ! Israel on the other hand CAN show MILLIONS of mentioned history and artifacts that PROVE they belong there. And don’t come with the Canaanites as ancestors because Abraham is both the original father of both Jews and Arabs. No, it is islam that doesn't tolerate any other religion in (any) region) which is the root of all conflict. We are waiting for the return of the Lord Yeshua / Jesus to bring about peace.

You are describing a land which is currently inhabited by the people whose ancestors were on the land in the times of all of the ancient conquests you mentioned. They are indigenous and their allocated land was taken away from them by Western powers in 1948. A two state solution is possible but it requires that a permanent ceasefire be enforced. Peace keeping forces and humanitarian aid allowed in. Gazans are dying as I type / you read. Immediately afterwards talks for state lines be drawn definitively, that Palestine be officially recognized as a sovereign state and the apartheid must be brought to an end. Bye ✌️

I am a 73 year old man and I have spent the better part of my life trying to understand why I seem to always feel a certain sadness in my heart. Then I thought, maybe this had something to do with it. Hopefully this story brings out others like me. In 1963 Zionists came to my home in Casablanca Morocco, to convince my parents to send me and my little sister to Israel without them. I was 12 and my sister 9 when we started our miserable journey to the "Promised land". It destroyed our family and left me and my sister with long lasting scars neither one of us has been able to heal. Being from Morocco made it even more difficult to live in a more racist country than Morocco ever was. We had a very peaceful life as Jews living amongst Muslims in Morocco. We understood each other and helped each other. To this day, the principal advisor to King Mohamed is a Jew. But the Zionists needed boddies to fill Israel and slowly claim more and more land from the Palestinians they kept displacing. The people running Israel are not Jews. True Jews would have helped the Palestinians evolve and share in their fortunes, like we did for centuries in the Arab world. Israel claims it is defending itself? Against whom? The people they have been displacing and opressing for 80 years? Israel, my advice to you, if you want to survive, get rid of the religious zealots who run your government and join the 21st century.

Personally, I do not agree with violent protests. They can strategically backfire and often this is what happens, as those powerful against whom the protests are directed and the media which defend the powerful use such incidents to "show" the world that they are "victims" of "domestic terrorists." If "Palestinians" are such "beautiful people.....", then why did they slaughter innocent unarmed civilians on 10.7.23. Why did they spit and hit and laugh at the mutiliated body of Shani Louk in the back of a pickup truck that had her mutilated body? Why did they celebrate the taking of hostages including a less than one year old baby. They have shown no humanity as a culture. Their "adopted name, Palestinian", has become synonymous with terrorism. They have advocated for the genocide of Israel numerous times. They have attacked Israel for 100 years with terrorism, (by the way there was no "occupation" 100 years ago. 100 years ago, Palestine was a region of Jews and Arabs, and the Arabs They have turned down peace/compromise and their own state. But even if Israel was a place of freedom and love, Palestinians are excluded from that despite having more historic claim to the land than many Jewish people who get automatic citizenship. Palestinians who want to be full citizens of Israel have to agree that Israel is first a Jewish state. A government that purposefully excludes and recruits voters based on race or religion is not a democracy. In democracies, the people are supposed to elect the leaders; the leaders are not supposed to recruit international voters to maintain a majority. And if it’s not clear, other people being worse does not mean Israel gets a pass on the bad things it does. Even if Palestinians were the worst humans on the planet, they still have human rights that need to be respected, or else no one has human rights.

They can't be the ultimate war machine because that would make it harder for America to call the shots. They might be the penultimate war machine, but it barely compares to the US- their colonisation of indigenous land is so absolute that people don't even talk about it in terms of apartheid or call out the specific ideologies that underpin their colonialism like manifest destiny; nowhere near to the same extent that people rightly address Israel's crimes against humanity. The unfortunate reality is that Israel is simply imitating the tactics of other colonial regimes around the world like the United States of America and Australia. Things like South African and Israel apartheid happened after the invention of film cameras and so the things they did and in the latter case do are simply better documented; especially Israel who are conducting this apartheid in the smart phone age when anyone can whip out a high definition camera and capture what their doing at pretty much any moment. It's not a coincidence that colonial regimes like the United States back Israel's colonialism, they're all running experiments in the same laboratory and it benefits every colonial state to explore new tactics for subjugating native opposition. America's army is several times bigger than any of their closest competition, pretty much the majority of the US's annual discretionary budget goes to the military. They're holding the "ultimate war machine" title quite firmly at the moment I'm afraid.

I 've been in the West Bank in 2005 and 2007 participating with the Anarchists Against The Wall and the palestinian friends in demos against the building of the wall of shame. I met Yonatan, Kobi, Laser, Nily and other comrades, along with the palestinian strugglers in Bil' in, Nil' in, Budrus...i always admired the unbelievable courage of the israelis who advocate for the rights of their fellow humans Palestinians, and since then i say to the people here in Greece that i 've met real heros in my life. As a secular person that was raised as a child of a Muslim and Catholic, I found out I was also Jewish by heritage in my teens. I didn’t have an opportunity to be brainwashed. When I encountered such hateful brainwashing in the US and Israel, it felt so hopeless. In my father’s country, Iran, there are Jewish shops and even a hospital. Minorities in Iran should be treated more equally, and it is an authoritarian regime, but Iran isn’t against the Jewish religion and people. Iran is against Zionism and what is being done to the Palestinians. The reason my ancestors went to Persia, now Iran, was for a better life after Persia freed the Jews of Babylon. It gives me so much hope to see Israelis fighting to stop apartheid and genocide. Peace in the Middle East can happen when we see each other as human beings just trying to live a happy life. Israel can end the bloodshed. It won’t be easy, but reconciliation is easier than more death and suffering.

I grew up on the Discovery channel seeing docos on the Holocaust and forming an immense love and solidarity towards the Jewish people. I have never equated all Jews with the ethno State.
