Hi .The lady that's trying to reach the high note is Sandy .she toured China with Andrew Lloyd Webber in 2000 .She does a lot of work with deaf children and is well known in China .She won .but the Chinese people loved Dimash and visas versa. He has fun in China and has returned around Xmas to take part in a TV show .after two years.becouse of covet .It's great viewing 👌

About He is famous for having an unusually wide vocal range and his ability to sing in more than fifteen languages. Dimash was born Dinmukhammed Kanatuly Kudaibergen in the Aktobe region of Kazakhstan on the 24th of May, 1994. When he was only five years old, Dimash began taking vocal and piano lessons at the children's section of the Akhmet Zhubanov Music College. He continued his training throughout his school years and eventually attended the music institute of K. Zhubanov University. He graduated in 2014 with a classical music degree centred on vocal ability. He continued his musical education by studying contemporary music Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana. He successfully received a Master's degree in Composition and was even recommended for the PhD program. Throughout his time at university, Dimash entered four major singing competitions in Kazakhstan. He won the National Zhas Kanat Contest with a perfect score of 180 out of 180, which was unprecedented in the competition's history. In December 2014, he was awarded a laureate of the State Youth Prize Daryn. He released his first album in China the same year, and it went platinum in thirty-seven seconds! Awww....I'm so glad you chose the extended version and saw how incredibly humble and what a loving person he is! Totally agree with your assessment of his singing. It just broke my heart when he said "I want to go home" to his dad. I think he said it because he missed his family, and how special that his proud dad surprised him! I was very happy that you found the long video version with the background. He even asks twice if he sang well. Sometimes you forget how young he was back then. He was 22 and was away from home a little longer for the first time. He got really homesick in China, so his caregivers worried about him. Then his father came and his family made sure that he always had one of them around. Even today, his family is the most important thing for Dimash. Even though I think he's gotten a better grip on his homesickness now. Today he arrived in Dubai and his family, even his elderly grandmother, was there again. That's one of the things I love about him. He still knows what is really important in life.

This was his 2nd performance on that show. SOS was his first and he blew them away! He had to have bodyguards the next day. During this performance of Opera 2, his Dad was in the audience and he didn't know it. He said in an interview that if he had known his Dad was there, he wouldn't have been so 'cheeky' on stage. 😄That was his Dad doing the fist-pump at the end.

So glad he didn't know. His reaction when he first saw his Dad was like a pro, not skipping a beat, then rushing down to him. BUT mostly I'm glad because I loooved his being "cheeky". Perfect! lol
