GBC Ground Buster 3 Tire Review

Great video! I used to run the GB3’s and I really liked how they handled but I just kept having issues with the sidewalls being too thin. Tried everything I could before I switched to OBORs. Went through 8 GBC tires in the first 2 or 3 races last year and haven’t had an issue with the OBORs yet. But if you can run the GB3’s without having an issue with flat tires, they are an awesome set of tires to run.

Thanks Tyler. Were you running the 6 ply tires or the thinner ones? Not sure if they were 2 or 4 ply.

@@Team2Gils they were 6 ply. We just race in coal country where the rocks are terrible.

I switched to these from Maxxis tires and I love them. Great tire for a good price as compared to Maxxis.

I’ve always ran the xc master and loved them but I plan to pick a set of these up to try this season just to see if I like them a little more. We’ll see. Great review!

That is what I did. Was a little worried switching as I loved the xc masters, but these are really good.

Good review Gils! I’m gonna try the GB3’s rear and XC master front on my orange quad this season and see how I like them I have them set up with tire blocks and mounted on DWT bead locks 🏁 I’m running the Obor’s on the blue quad until they are shot they have a little life left in them

I'm not a fan of the GBC . I mounted to rears with tire balls and that takes some time to do. My son ride for a half hour and ripped holes in both back side walls . It took longer to mount them then it did for him to ruin them. Good thing it was just practice. We run ITP GNCC Holeshots when were racing GNCC. We have a real good luck with them

Great review man! Die hard XC Master fan here myself and have been considering these GB3's. I believe they are only 2 ply vs. the XC Master 6 ply is that correct? Did you notice any power difference going from the heavier 6 ply XC Masters to the lighter Ground Busters? That is my only complaint with the XC Masters is how heavy they are (that's why they are indestructible though). Also, are you running them with some form of tire ball system given that they are 2-ply?

The gb3's come in 6 ply as well, that is what I run. I have not really noticed any difference from weight. I finished the season on xc masters then 4 months later started season on the gb3's so hard to compare but less rotation mass is always a good thing.

Im trying to decide which tires to get and i got it narrowed down to gb3 and xc master but havent decided between the two. I know that the gb3 are lighter, but does it really make that much of a differnence and can you feel it? Also which ones slide better, easier, and more controllably?

I would go with the gb3 pro on the rears. They have the best of gbc3 an xc master rolled into one. Then go with xc master on the fronts.
