Wow, so great to see what happened here in Europe with Shorinji Kempo since early 1970ths. Guess we were the first over here in Germany at PSV Grün Weiss Kassel. There was no one else. Because of this fact we belonged to the Fédération Française de Shorinji Kempo, based in Paris. At that time, Osaka Sensei conducted our belt test in Paris. Great old memories! I am happy that - now for well over half a century - I am still an active part of those who are working to make our world a little better place. Shorinji Kempo as a solid foundation is the very best platform for this. Domo Arigato friends - great to have you!

When I started in SK it was pure martial art: no exhibitions, no contests (indeed, championships, banned back in the day), no social gatherings, partying and celebrations. Nowadays I think is has turned more into a choreography school and a good means to travel and get to know lots of people, leaving the martial art just as an excuse to achieve both.

Reminds me of my active days as kenshi under sensei Wunderle in Germany. I had the honour and the privilege to take part in the first European taikai in Paris, which was many many years ago. Ah, the memories.
