I had RTMS at Hospital in Northampton some years ago. I have Bipolar disorder and it helped me very much. It was administered at the Hospital for 1 month daily by specialist nurses. It's like a woodpecker tapping on your temple area for about 20 minutes as you just relax. It is less invasive than ECT which I refuse to have. I would say this is amazing and should be available on the NHS. Brilliant technology. This is called a 'Flo' machine and I actually bought one because I could use it at home. If you feel a deep depression coming on, you need 'top ups' to 'nip it in the bud'. I would recommend this to anyone with severe depression.
