This guy has the standard modern police view on things. "If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear". He says the way we fix police is to put more money into mental health. What about going back to community policing? Get out of your cars turn off your radios and start talking to people. Bring back bobbies! These people should be experts in their beat. They should know who's from the area and who's not. Go to the local church, pub, book club, rambling society, scout huts. They should be as well known to the children in the area as the old age pensioners. Also de-militarise the uniform, bring back tunics and helmets and of course the truncheon. Start beating criminals to a pulp when you find them robbing cars or breaking into houses. Stop showing favour to the criminal underclass and start showing favour to the law abiding working class.
