Whilst I couldn't stomach watching repeats of Gary Glitter or Rolf Harris, knowing what we know about them (not that I ever liked either of them anyway!), I think the representational arts, architecture, literature and music composition - arts where there is no live performance involved - puts enough of a barrier between the art itself and the artist for us to be able to treat them as being separate. Also, the older the non-performance art is, the less we care. Do I have to stop listening to Richard Strauss and Karl Orff's music because of their connections with the regime in Germany in the 1930s or Wagner because he wrote an essay castigating Jewish composers?
