I’m not saying I knew, but I couldn’t watch them anymore from about 5 years or even more years ago. Something just didn’t feel right anymore. I’d liked Schofield years ago when he was with Gordon the Goffer and I saw him on TV talking about his role as Joseph and I thought him ok then. At first on This Morning I liked him and Holly but I quickly became bored by them and felt 🤢 ! I worked full time anyway but if off I no longer watched This Morning. Then on Dancing on Ice I had that same uncomfortable feeling 🤢 about Schofield, and Holly always looked to me like a ‘rabbit in the headlights’! It just didn’t work for me and I couldn’t understand why they were a golden couple chosen for so much work!! I’ve said for a long time that schofield had had his day and should be replaced. I’m not sure yet about Holly. Like I said she just seemed ‘rabbit in headlights’ 😳, and too stiff on DoI, and on This Morning she was a giggling schoolgirl far too much!! When he came out as gay he should have admitted he’d had an affair with that young man! He didn’t and that shows he knew it was wrong (ie possible grooming!) Apparently the young man was going to out him, or a newspaper was, and there’s a super gagging order on the young man, and that’s why Schofield came out as gay. The arrogance of Schofield, knowing the truth, and thinking he could keep everyone in the dark or control the story!! Deceitful is only one of the words I’d use!!!

I think you’re right and that’s the only sensible move he could’ve made… not that there’s much sense about him. In that coming out shambles, he presented himself almost as if he was a virgin. To paraphrase; “What are your thoughts going forwards, about relationships?”, “Oh, I’m not nearly ready to contemplate that yet, this is a one step at a time process” 🤢

When he came out and got lots of support, because the world doesn't know what true love is, I knew as a Christian that he doesn't know what true love is, he shouldn't get support in what he did to his wife and as a man who would do such a thing it was immediately obvious he was a man that can not be trusted. Even the military knows it can't trust men who cheat on their spouses. But in general, the world has been blinded to what true live is and has no discernment of evil.
