I just bought these for my cutlass. Mane wat size 2 screws did you use to attach them? The screws they come with dont fit

Your holes might be stripped out. Try adding either a much larger screw or a slide clip that u can slide right over hole on the door that has threads already on one side of the clip.

Without cutting the the metal on the door, how much space did you have to mount speakers or was metal directly behind speaker door panel? They have lower profile speakers, Just trying to see if i can get away without cutting if i have the lowest profile speaker and 1/2 speaker spacers.

.5 spacers might work if u have shallow speakers. The magnets on each of my speakers wouldn't even allow me to see how much space I actually needed. Therefore I just cut away my headache

Appreciate the fast response, I’m going Neodymium 6.5’s. I’m hoping a inch or two being the speaker pod on the door panel is slightly tilted to the driver

@@monecolione313 a 86 grand national, did the wheels and suspension already. Now I’m on to audio. Check these speakers out prv 6MB250-NDY. I have two jl audio 13w7’s for bass and a sundown scv4000d to power them. The speaker locations on the dash I’m a run Beyma tweeters and the rear 4x10’s I’m going to use adapters to change them to 6x9’s. The dash tweeters and rear deck 6x9’s I’m a run off the aftermarket touchscreen radio. The for 6.5’s I’m a run off a 4 channel amp.

Spacers work. They make stackable spacers but I'd suggest wrapping them on vinyl first

Did you end up installing the 5.25 or 6.5 speakers? Curious if a 6.75 is possible too?

5.25s is what I used. But possibly with some cutting and definitely cutting the door also

wwith electric windows thats a no no. UNLESS you add spacers.. i am not gonna cut where the window motor is at.
