A boss did you have to remove most of the original harness im going to ls swap oldsmobile took original engine out and not sure if I remove harness completely

I removed the complete harness from the passenger side firewall they plug into the factory computer. The only wires from the driver's side other than headlights and hood wire that I have are ignition coil, starter, alternator, oil and temperature sensor wires. I kept my complete air conditioner and blower wire setup until I figure out what's not needed.
