I bought one a week ago. I took her to the ranges with six different types of ammo/makers (400 rounds) and different grain bullet weight, and the Archon shot as fast, flat and accurate as you can ever get out of the box. I have owned a plethora of guns over the years and carried many as a lawman and SWAT TEAM leader. I also participated in four SWAT Olympics, so I understand the coemption aspect. I don't think you need a bunch of work done to most pistols as back in the 1990's my department made us carry a "New York Trigger" in our Glocks. Was about 12 lbs. i can tell you when the shit hits the fan you will not notice. I think we get finicky with all the add ons which, turn a really good gun into something we really don't need as much as want. I have been in actual shootings and the trigger pull was not noted before, during or after. I do have two beefs, one, the take down pin gets a mite warm when firing 100 rounds fast fire and lastly, the mag release did kinda suck. Not a mood killer and I took her home and lubed the dog crap out of it and worked her a bit and now, back on track as a carry pistol. Shoots and fells better than any Glock i ever owned and I have owned a peck of them in every caliber and configuration and attended the Glock armorer's course four times over the years as well as Colt and Sig courses. I fired at a 2 inch target at 15 yards. I thought I was missing the target a time or two and turns out I was putting rounds into the same holes!!! I am impressed with the Archon.

I think the weight from that grip tape string hanging down cut the recoil by about 30%. It's a sweet pistol, but striker fired is so saturated right now. I wish it had higher capacity and it definitely needs to have optics cuts IMO to be truly competitive.

That gun is extremely bad ass!! I run the newest model optics ready as my EDC with the 15 round mag. The company is owned by PTR now and they are starting to make these pistols in North Carolina. The pistol is completely modular. You have the option out of the box to change the back strap and lower grip to except a 13, 15 and 17 round magazine flush. Gun is extremely smooth I highly recommend this pistol for under $1,000.

Im on lefty island as well. But weird shit happens with us, for example I run mmy hellcat pro with mag release on left side because my right support hand somehow engages it. Also you tend to just use trigger finger for slide release and not care. Also our left hand thumbs get SMACKED by ejecting brass lol

I own this gun. Cool gun, no store front in Vegas already tried, online order for parts...if available, shoots flat and you can go fast, not optic ready but the new model might be, reversal mag release button is the biggest draw back for it being a "combat pistol". Want the big bro? Get the Arsenal Strike 1, supposedly Archon stated in the past if your type B is used in a "legal shoot" Archon will send you another one free of charge while yours is in evidence. Correct me if im wrong.

Folks been shooting pistols accurately for many decades. I can shoot a B21E target consistently at 100 with iron sights which, is more than capable of shooting anything else at 9mm killing ranges. Don't turn pistols into rifles and rifles into pistols. I carried a Glock as a lawman and SWAT guy and we never had red dots ETC.
