No sealing gasket on the big hatch it would leak like a sieve water egress in a big hatch like that not good

Yes I agree this is why I ended up installing my own gasket around the hatch which made a big difference 🙏👍🎣

Thanks for this video. I've got one as well and it's a great kayak aside from the leaky front hatch in any sort of chop. Can you tell me where you bought the bungee cord attachment points for the hatch upgrade?

If you are using for hard surfaces not soft sand it's perfect

Now that you have had it for 2 months I have a question about the front hatch. I’ve seen videos of same brand different model with the front hatch and it is not sealed well and can take on a large amount of water of capsized. How well sealed is it on this model?

To honest yes it's a large hatch and yes it has the potential to take on water if you went through surf or capsized. However there are a few things you can do to assist with increased minimisation of water intake. So adding a easy cost effective gasket around the hatch and adding two extra latches to pull the hatch lid down tight.

Hi have you put a motor on your yet? I am wanting to put a motor on it but with my current one it tracks terribly so looking to upgrade to one of these kayaks and transfer motor over to it.

Hey mate yeah so I've upgraded to the next gen 11.5 that kayaks2fish make and it's an awesome fishing kayak. As for a motor I haven't motorised yet I'm still looking at different options. 👍🎣

Hi Ian haven't had a chance to take her out from the surf yet. I'm waiting for perfect conditions before going ahead for a surf launch. Have been doing some extra mods I'm going to put a new video up soon showing little tweeks I have done to increase minimising water ingression. How about yourself?

I've only gone out once before we got put in lock down I've had a lot of fun on this kayak it's my first kayak I'm hoping to get out again soon so I can make a small video so i can put up on KZbin. A few days ago was my first time I put a video up on KZbin just a video of my kayak I was happy to see your video about the orca . man i can't wait for your next video . and i can't wait to make video to so I can put up. thank you for replying back me Andrew .

Can one person load and unload on to roof racks by themselves with this size off hull
