GC8 side moulding removal/filling holes in body

if you didnt already decide on plastidip i was going to recommend doing oem two tone outback sport paint. would look very unique on the coupe body

I did this to my 95 impreza also before white bedliner paint job with rollers, didn't dimple, just bondoglass and sanded flush.

Good to know. I've done it once before with just Bondo. Wanted to post a video for all to see the process and that it can be done with no backing.

Are you talking about the trim I took off and filled the holes in in this video? If so, those are long gone.

I'm planning on getting mine welded shut. I'd rather not risk the bondo cracking over time

Welding is the more permanent option. However, be careful as heating the thin metal can warp it making the side look wavy. I used fiberglass filler here. Way less likely to crack. The bondo is used in very very small amounts to fill in any pitting left by the fiber glass filler. Furthermore, on such a small area, you don't have to worry about cracking.
