Just got an Aventure 2 this past weekend and I absolutely love it already. First weekend out I put the same amount of miles on it that I'd put on my previous ebike over two years! My first bike is a standard commuter style. I'm a big boy too, and when I was shopping for my first ebike a couple of years ago, I forgot that when I was regularly riding regular non electric bicycles about ten years ago, I never liked street bikes because they weren't comfortable for someone my size. I wound up with a full suspension mountain bike with big knobby tires and a plush ride. I realized the reason I wasn't riding my first ebike was that I didn't enjoy the ride. Not exactly bad, but not good either! I decided to get a fat tire bike for comfort and the Aventure was a great choice for me. These recommendations all seem solid. Thanks so much. I'll probably get most of these items you recommend actually! Thanks for the video!

@@GaryCantrell no problem, question for ya. Did you put any run flat in the tires at all? What do you recommend to make the seat more comfortable? I already upgraded the seat but is there anything else you can put on the stem?

I never tried the run flat although that’s probably a good idea. I never tried any of the suspension seat posts but there are a ton out there so that could be an option

I just bought a Pace 500.3 and found this video *very* informative. I too am a larger rider (6'4" - 270lbs) and was particularly interested in your choice of seats. As a long time recreational photographer, I was also interested in the bag you described. I really wish you had your camera gear in there to show how much you can actually put in there. (I also use a mirrorless - Olympus) One question regarding that bag- I assume there are no entanglement issues when the side bags are deployed? I just feared a bag not full having the ability to 'flap' back into the spokes. I hope I'm wrong? Again, great video. As a fellow bigger rider, I really appreciated your viewpoints. Cheers.
@GaryCantrell3 ай бұрын
I appreciate you checking out the video and your comment. Good to hear from a fellow photographer. The only reason I didn't film the camera in the bag was because I was filming on it and didn't stop to think for a second that I could have just filmed that part on my phone haha!!! I will keep this in mind for future videos. I never had any entanglement issues in my experience. Thanks again for checking the video out!!

Great video! I wish I would've seen it earlier. I have the handlebar mirror and I guess it works but it is obstructed. I want one of those that attach on the end. I want that adjustable stem, too. Yes, I have the exact issue you described. BTW-I WAS 250lbs when I got my bike in Sept...215 now.
