LOVE the video! Fantastic video quality and cinematography. Love all the different viewpoints of the work (cameras on the tools, etc.). Of course the rain footage is excellent as always. The occasional breaks in the work to learn about nature or the animals is always cool too. I think this channel perfectly shows how one talented individual can bring so much quality content into all of our lives. When i think of ppl complaining about the shallow crap portrayed on tik tok and other useless videos out there- i also remember that there are great channels putting out excellent content like this one. Can’t wait for part 4!

Thank you very much! This video was about 250 video clips from 6 cameras, including gopro 10s, gopro maxs, and the drone. I really put off making this video because it was so daunting to even get started with that many clips. I envy those concrete guys who have 1 camera running and then voice over the job, but that's not my style. I worked on this video for about 10 hours yesterday trying to push through, so your comment really brought up my spirits about this video and the work I put in. I'm trying to keep the quality up and I do think it shows. Thank you again for commenting and letting me know my efforts are being noticed by viewers. Thanks again! - Shawn

Hi Sean, At 1:00:40, Sean, if you go to your local hardware store, you can buy a temporary gutter/ downspout. Basically it's like a long plastic bag which you simply duct tape one end to the top of the gutter and stretch out to the outlet (if possible) or where you want the water to go. This could be useful to recommend to home-owner in the interim few months whilst the renovation takes place in stopping all that water creating damage at the base of the foundation of the house / underhouse. Im in Australia but I'll post a link of our version here, am sure you can get same domestic & commercial versions over there in U.S. (Edit, youtube isn't posting my comments presumably because of the links, so just try googling; "Temporary downpipe/ downspout" In regards to the concrete and the concrete crew, they both turned out fantastic. I would really like to see footage of the drainage system in full use when it's pouring raining. Maybe you could request the home-owner to take footage, instructing them of the various areas to record ? Awesome video, they are the highlight of my week. Loving your work always Sean 👊

This is a complicated job and I really appreciate the rain-drainage videos showing the various pieces to the job that you painstakingly put together in a way that completes my understanding of what you did. I did not have confidence you'd be able to pull off that driveway and all the ways it was supposed to catch various parts of the drainage plan, but it came out beautiful and deceivingly effective. I can't tell you how satisfying it is to see the cut from the finished-project drone footage to the wet-windshield clip as you race over there to record the working drains. Oh and I was so impressed with the saw-cut that ran up the middle of the driveway and gracefully curved to extend perfectly to the support between the garage doors. Fantastic. If I were the homeowner I would obsess over that every time I pulled into the garage, and it would remind me of money well-spent.

I wish you were located in Hawaii. My neighbor has his house and yard sloped to drain to my house and property instead of the street. He is my only neighboring property. Living in Hawaii next to the mountains it rains a lot! I have all my gutters and ground drains exiting my property in several 3" ABS/PVC pipes through my walls to the street. Even my AC condensate drains into these pipes. I am a corner house and am 4'-6' above the sidewalk and park behind me. I concreted majority of my yard. During a bathroom addition I could NOT get to my existing drain pipes (they were under water) and had to wait until the weather was nice and dry. There must be a law preventing this!

The concrete crew that was on this job was far superior to that old crew. The entire pour was better for many reasons, but the slump of the concrete was much tighter than the previous crew would have used. This tighter slump should result in a far stronger concrete and perform better than the old crew would have poured. The finish work techniques this new crew used were superior as well.

Was Harvey's crew busy, or did you all have a 'falling out'? I like his crew, hope all is well with you guys.

It had been so wet for so long that they were busy with some other stuff and we needed to get this one done while the weather allowed.

From Australia. Just wondering when reinforcement would be required. Is there maximum depth or Mpa requirement? Great video.

The concrete crew did a great job. Have you stopped working with the other concrete crew?

Hi Shaun, have you thought about getting your own crusher to recycle concrete, the you could use it on your driveway jobs?

I've thought about it but I don't think it's worth it. I have several sites that allow old concrete to be dumped for free. Sandrock is 7/ton

What happened to the headlight on the second dump truck? Also how do you know how much weight you are putting on the trucks?

I caught the bumper on a sapling tree at my place and it messed up the hood. I've been slowing trying to replace it. We have a decent idea of how much to fill the trucks through trial and error. The F650 will lift whatever you put in the back. The C7500 has a much weaker electric hoist on it. Both trucks are rated to haul around 7 ton.
