Yeah, thats right. I got a toxic friendship but didn’t care bad at first then one day she cyberbullied me in the whole school groupchat and made runors about me, blackmailed me, added very old people in the groupchat to cyberbully me as well and called my mom a f mom. It really made me very sad because she was my best friend since year 2. but i told some of my friends that i really trust and my parents and they support me :> but i made new friends as well and they are very nice and trustful ^-^ thx lol

That shows toxic friendship so well, I know from firsthand experience. In my case, I never stood up for myself directly. Standing up for yourself is hard, especially when you're at an age where you don't recognize the warnings. I was seven. I met her outside my house and we played for a bit. Not even two hours later, she makes me give her things. (She was my age and lived, and still currently lives, on my street) I don't think anything of it, as I was really shy and didn't really talk to anyone. But everytime she came she asked to borrow something. This continued for a few weeks, occuring less and less over time. She didn't give them back until a few months later, when I told her mom I didn't have the things she borrowed back yet. She made excuses while I was told to look around and gather my things back. She did give me things on occasion, but I never asked for them. She just wanted me to stay her friend. She also said things like "you're my only friend" (her crazy birthday parties with the bounce house and at a trampoline park say otherwise), and when I brought up my other friends, she said she knew them (one she met later, and clearly didn't know) and said she hated them. We had a sleepover where she threw a tantrum, crying on her knees and grabbing my legs, when I had to go (the next night, when I should have gone home hours earlier). She was always selfish, and quite dark when we played. There were so many occasions where she made her doll the favorite child, having mine be the least favorite and not treated, she wouldn't let me change that either. When I did manage to, she would turn it around in some dark direction (we were eight or nine). She even stole from me a few times. Once it was my stuffed animal dog, which I thought was just missing, I found it in her room. She was obviously lying when I confronted her about it. I knew it was mine, because it didn't have a working voice box and had two barbie dogs (I really wanted a puppy surprise at the time) where it should have been. The Barbie dogs where in her toy bin, and when I asked her how "her" toy dog had broke, she just "same as yours". She also took part of a necklace, which she showed me on the way to her house. As well as a light up bracelet, which she also showed me and said her sister gave to her. Years later, after months of over venting, she said I was the only reason she hadn't "unalived" herself yet. She had attempted several times before, and continued to after. She even tried to hurt herself in front of me. I felt like I was responsible for her. I was told I didn't have to feel that way by her family. I eventually couldn't deal with the stress anymore, and stopped hanging out with her. I felt bad about it, but hanging out with her had been horrible on my mental health. It was for the best, people had told me that she wasn't a good person and it took me way too long to figure it out myself. I just hope my younger brother realizes the signs, as he talks with her now.

I actually really like this story because it portraits the truth of a real toxic relationship I've been in a lot of toxic friendships before and trust me it's not a good thing to have it's also super unhealthy because they can tell you hurtful stuff that can lower you're self esteem and later have affect in you're personal lives it's so bad that most of the time the people that are being hurt don't even really realize that they're hanging out with toxic people all the time and when they do it's too late they have probably grown attached to their lies and after that it's hard to let go so I just want to thank you for making such an amazing story so people can really understand what being toxic relationship or friendship feels like.
