Enjoyed the review. Saw this thing on Syd and Mackie a couple of nights ago. I travel a lot with my bikes so transporting a pump is kind of a hassle but a necessity 🙁. Anyway, just paid $150 for a Silca pump a few weeks ago. I hate the chuck- actually med another hand to pump up a tire. Ordered this mini pump a couple of days ago and got it today.

@@kharrell8356 just saw this. The pump does not heat up. It is well ventilated and covered with a plastic covering. I’ve inflated 3 sets of tires - back to back/ no heat issues. I’ve been pleased with the pump. Definitely worth $40.

My Math shows me this pump will fill up at least 6 Mountain Bike Tires on a Full Charge. The Amazon Link that GCP provided says this pump can fill 8 700x23c tires from 0-100 psi. Now interpolating the math from a C02 tire inflation chart I found oinline, and using a 18gr C02 Cartridge, I can fill 1 700x23c to 130psi, and that same 18gr Cartridge can fill a 2.0-2.5" x 27.5-29" tire to about 25-30psi. So therefore, after I interpolate all the numbers, I get 6 MTB tires (2.0-2.5" x 27.5-29").

When you unscrew the inflator, how much air is leaking out?

it does not matter how much leaks out after we inflate. When we unscrew in the pump hose, the air is leaking from the pump hose, and NOT the tires. Now when we screw in the hose to inflate the tires, the psi of the tires will drop because the air will leak out of the tires to fill the pump hose. However, once we get it to the desired pressure, who care cares if Air leaks out of the hose because the tire pressure itself did not change when we unscrew the hose.

Hey GC performance firstly i really enjoy your content and especially your humor. I live in a dangerous area and commute to work. Ive picked up 2 punctures in 2 weeks, first a piece of wire and today a nail 😢😢 because i dont have time and need to be alert to my surroundings and the people in it, ive started researching these types of electrical pumps. My question is 1- do you believe these units to be reliable? 2- in your experience will these fanttik units last if well looked after? I live in South Africa and would have to order via Amazon which means should i have an issue i wont have any warranty support outside the 30 day purchase period. Yes this would be a replacement of my hand pump which i destroyed 3 weeks ago while riding trails. I plan to use this on my road bike with 700c x 28mm tyres. I purchased the Fantik unit per your recommendation. First it is quite heavy to take on rides, maybe touring - not really worth it. Worse yet, this unit stops working in COLD weather, gives out error ER02. I thought , this would be a good insurance if I had a flat in the winter, with cold fingers marginally working to get going without a fuss. Please at the caveat, do NOT purchase for winter rides, and do not leave in the cold garage.

Just not warming up to these things. If you are talking about home use and/or in car and you've already invested in any line of cordless tools already just get the inflator in the same line. I have a Ryobi inflator that's often on sale for less than 25 usd. Digital guage and no battery issues since you can pop a 4 or 5Ahr battery on it in seconds. I'll still cary CO2 for now. Ymmv

When you stop pumping your tires with a conventional floor pump, your upper body becomes weak, you lose your sprinting capacity and you lose the local Crit....joking. I wouldn't buy one and I will be 70 y.o. early next year and I pump my 25mm clinchers to 110 psi at 180 lbs body weight. I am old school and not a soft tire fairy. Maybe one day when Elon makes one the size of box of matches. 😉 Thanks for showing us GC.

Why would you set your 25mm tires at 110 psi when at your weight they should be in the low 80s. You must like to get every organ jarring bump through you. 🤣 All the recent charts I've seen are around this range. I'm heavier than you and I try to stay in the low 90s (rear) max.
