shouldn't water be produced in the reaction with ammonia because isn't it a neutralisation reaction?
@Freesciencelessons
@Freesciencelessons 5 жыл бұрын
If the ammonia was dissolved in water (forming the alkali ammonium hydroxide) then yes that would happen. However, in this case, the ammonia is a gas not dissolved in water, so it is not an alkali therefore no water is released in this reaction.

Hi Sir, Considering the fact that i only have 3 months or less till the exam for the AQA GCSE Biology and i do Triple. I have covered B1, not B2, not B3 and B4 is covered and for the other sciences i have only done C1 not C2, starting C3, Not C4 and not C5. For physics i have only done P1 and Started P2. P3 and P4 not done. I was wondering because i covered most of the Paper 2 topics (B7, P7, P8,C8,C9,C10). I have finish C10 notes today. Your videos are really good as it did help me go from a 2 to 6-8. One thing that is worrying me is that i'm suppose to be going through exam question to secure questions for paper 1 topics making sure that i fully know that specific topic and how to tackle those types of questions that tend to appear in exams. Now i just confused what to do for paper 1 topics.

could i ask a biology a level question please answer? Give a genetic explanation for each of these three situations 1. A couple has six children. The first 5 are healthy: the sixth has cystic fibrosis. Neither parent has the disease 2. Another couple has two children: both children have cystic fibrosis. Again, neither parent has the disease 3. A women with cystic fibrosis is told that it will be unlikely her children will have the disease, but they will all be 'carriers' and could themselves have children with the illness
@siguchan7485
@siguchan7485 6 жыл бұрын
is this really a level? surely these can just be explained with a punnett square
@Freesciencelessons
@Freesciencelessons 6 жыл бұрын
Genetics is about probability. These are not guarantees about offspring, they are simply probabilities. In cases 1 + 2, both parents must be carriers. On average, 1 in 4 offspring will have CF and 2 in 4 will be carriers. But these are only probabilities. In case 3, we do not know the genotype of her partner so we have no idea of the probabilities.
