As a 90s baby Chappelle Show was the shxt but we also grew up on All That. Definitely think our generation can create a lane for the vaudeville/variety sketch stuff since we kinda grew up on it twice.

LaRussell as a host of his own sketch show👌🏾🔥. Sketches + Host/Crowdwork + Live Music Performance is the base formula fasho. 👁️ would say instead of just having 3-4 sketches and a live music performance like Chappelle….you could have 1 long sketch or 2 short sketches every week that u really go in on. And then u mix in some of the following things so that it has some Def Jam/showtime at Apollo flair too: Short standup comedy sets/ Live Improv/ Bay Area Story tellers (Having someone tell a funny or crazy story to the crowd, or even just having an OG share some wisdom/inspiration) ….any of these could be potential things that give the show distinction from Chappelle, and take the pressure off of becoming repetitive or feeling boxed in creatively to a simple: “Host. Then sketch. Then host. Then sketch. Then host announces music and bye everyone see u next week” routine.
