I purchased this watch in 2017 by 2021 I kept expecting the battery to die. As of today Jan 2024 this watch is still running strong. Absolutely the best longest lasting watch I have ever had. Enjoy

I got mine in 2019 and within 4 years had to change the battery. What i like is it first says 'low battery' instead of just dying on you. So you have a few days maybe a week or more to get around to it 😊

I went from a GD 100 0range to this GD350. I agree with this review 100%. This is one of the best G-Shock watches ever. I have this color and the only reason I no longer wear it because I need a new band. Can’t tell you how many times the 10 min countdown timer, which has the circle button, was used while cooking or training. The Illuminator is Beyond bright and I love the 5 second light time. In a dark room, the light will show you the way. Battery is still going! It’s interesting that you’re comparing this to the analog watch, the GD 2100, which is the watch I wanted next (white marker version). I want a positive black digital watch that isn’t 5600. Thought about the GA 800 analog digital. It really is a great module by Casio. Thanks for this review.

Great tutorial. I have had my watch since 2015 and I finally changed the battery today, 11/8/2024. It did not die, but said "low batt" on the screen. It's a fantastic watch and now I know how to set it up better than I ever did before. The best "mod" I did with this watch was to get a NATO band adapter off of Etsy. So much more comfortable. Thanks for the tutorial

5:32 This is pretty helpful. I try out a GD-350 (gold variant) at a watch store. I thought this G-Shock can only do vibration alarm and no beeping alarm, which disappointed me at first. But now after watching this, I'm giving this G-Shock a second chance, and I'll prepare to purchase it next month (but with other color variants, not the gold one).

I lost the watch's directions. I had this watch for about 3 years. There was an annoying alarm that I could not figure out how to turn off even after I clearly went in and turned it "off", but I didn't know there were 4 other alarms. Great video a lot more helpful than the manual that comes in the box the watch is a great design I have two of them the only negative comment I have is that the lugs that are fitted to the case to stop the watch spinning on the wearers wrist tend to dig into my large wrist apart from that it's great. 👍

Same thing happened to me. I removed the “wings” and replaced the screws with ones from the back plate of an old, dead G. Fits great now. If you don’t have any other screws lying around, I’ve seen some people put small o-rings over the protruding screws to make them look better.

Now Casio should make a 5600 with these functions, a bit larger buttons, and that large C2032 battery. I have a G 5600-1 and this watch. I really prefer this 350 but is a bit bulky so my 5600 gets about as much wrist time as this. The Solar on the 5600 is nice but whenever I use the auto light the charge drops to medium, which means I'm wearing out the battery. I do believe that large 2032 battery is a better way to go.

Can you operate it in complete darkness? I cannot do that with my solar square Casio because the light turns off whenever I press a key to get to the stopwatch, say, or any other function. I have a cheap Timex that keeps the light on when I press any key to operate it. How come?

Just follow the tutorial, make sure you are in HOME SCREEN, then IN THE HOME SCREEN select your city (LA) then set your hours minutes and date to the correct LA time. The exit the adjusting screen and when you want to check out other cities go into the WORLD TIME function, don't change the HOME SCREEN city as that is YOUR MAIN TIME and WOLRD TIME is calculated based on that

It could be great again - change the battery. The lifespan of a solar-charging battery is about 10 years at best (depending on the model), but much more expensive to change when it ends its useful life.

Thanks for the help. I did not realize what “OH” meant and so did not realize you could set the timer for such long periods of time. This is a very bulky watch, by which I mostly mean thick. It does not easily slide under a shirt or jacket, but I like the function set.
