Actually, pkp does ticket pricing a little differently. The price is not dependent on days till departure, but on how full the trains are. There is a base price and an empty train has a 45% discount. The fuller the train gets, the smaller the discount becomes (30%, 15%, 0%), until it reaches the base price.

I was comparing it to the equivalent Bucharest to Constanta line (also linking the capital with the largest sea port and also the "best line in the country"). Quite different. There there are only 2 tracks, not 3 like here. Trains go max 160km/h, not 250km/h. But the biggest difference I guess is that the actual stations are not as renovated as the polish ones. Good job Poland.

12:06 there are a few mistakes in the video like you claiming Gdańsk is the 4th largest "city" in Poland, but that one is the worst. That is Wisła, the Vistula River. The main, most important, longest river in Poland. You need to do your research better mate, that one is really really bad
@Simon-Andersen4 ай бұрын
@@sekritdokumint9326 Research was done, Gdansk is part of the 4th largest urban area by UN measurements. Sure it depends how you define the city borders, so you can argue it's not and their estimates are wrong, but this is not a video about how you measure population of cities and urban areas. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_areas_in_Poland The river is named Wisla sure, but the railway passes over it in the Praga district, hence the Praga. River. I'm mentioning the location of the river. I could have used more clear language tho. Thanks for your criticism, I'd prefer if it was constructive and more researched next time.
@sekritdokumint93264 ай бұрын
@@Simon-Andersen Well clearly not enough. You said what you said in the video, and now you're trying to weasel out of your mistake with some skewed logic. "It depends how you define the city borders"? They are clearly defined and well known. Every single entrance to the city is clearly marked with signs and markers. You can even go to google maps, type in Gdańsk and the entire area of the city is clearly highlighted, because we exactly know where the borders are. But that is besides the point, because the size of a city is measured in population, which sure as hell is not 4th, but 6th. Again you are trying to argue with some complicated, skewed logic despite that data, just because you cannot admit you made one small mistake. It's 6th and you can find this information given by our government agencies. Your point makes absolutely no sense with the comparison of a metropolitan area and a city, these are two different entities, and you clearly claimed it to be the "4th largest city". It baffles me why you cannot just admit you were wrong on that, as you just did with the fact you should have phrased the fact about Wisła river better. But what baffles me even more is apparently the idea that you call the river where you cross it, and where the location is? Who does that? You don't say the Kazimierz river in Kraków, because you crossed the old bridge in Kazimierz district over Wisła, or you don't say the Puławy river, because you crossed the Wisła river in Puławy. You say the Vistula river, you say the Oder river, the Tiber, the Thames river. What even is this kind of logic? It's so bizarre and I have never witnessed someone speaking in such a manner. You should have said you're crossing the Vistula river from the Praga district. At least you admitted you should have said that better. And what is up my guy with that passive aggressive comment at the end? Did I hurt your feeling for pointing out you are very clearly wrong with these two things? And now pointing out your absolutely bizarre and illogical statements? Mate you - a tourist, are trying to tell a native of a country he is wrong about that country, and should do "more research", despite me knowing a great deal about it. Do you even realise how moronic that statement is? And you'd prefer "if it was constructive"? What is not constructive about pointing out you've made a really serious and bad mistake? That river is our national pride and the backbone of the country, it's like saying that Danish people speak a very backwards farmers version of Swedish. Or that Copenhagen is a German city. Would that not be a very bad thing to say, and very wrong? Obviously it would be, and I probably would have been in a bit of a trouble with the locals, but apparently it seems I'm sort of bad and rude for pointing out, that you saying that was a REALLY BAD MISTAKE on your part? It's honestly shocking how a few words pointing out merely two mistakes made you so defensive and passive aggressive. Especially that I've said you need to do the research better, not that you're doing it awfully. You clearly have a lot of knowledge about rail systems, and you even know what a TLK is, how our train stations work etc. But just pointing out, that the mistakes you made were kind bad, and you need to do that better, so you can avoid them in the future. If you cannot possibly take even the slightest bit of the most neutral critique, that is in fact well informed, because I'm a native and know a bit more, and is in a way constructive, because I'm not on a scientific debate with you, but just pointing out two mistakes (I could have just insulted you out of the blue over it, and only that would not be constructive), then maybe work with a public isn't for you, or maybe it is, but you just need to learn to suck it up, and grow from your mistakes, when people nicely pointe them out. To you - a non native.

@@sekritdokumint9326 I've quoted my source and I'll happily explain that city borders don't actually often give an accurate representation of the city as a whole. I'll take Copenhagen as an example, simple Google search will list 600k people which complelty ignores all the technically different cities that basically function as one in the entire urban area. In reality it's much more close to 1.5mil. This is excatly why I usually use the urban area metric in these videos, because it's ussualy a more accurate representation of the whole city rather than whatever municipality or city borders were drawn 100 years ago and never updated. Feel free to disagree with the river comment. Ive explained my logic and agree it could have been clearer. I thought your initial comment came across quite harsh with the "need to do better" apologies if that wasn't the intention, my repose would have been much more polite then 😅
