I wonder if that MG has an aftermarket tow hitch , which means it does not have the OEM crash bar and therefore is missing the screw hole for the rear tow hitch. Had this issue with our Ford Galaxy

They’re seat covers. Keeps the seats in good condition (from oil, dirt, damage) to increase resale value. The covers can then be reused on future vehicles (or at least they could if Ford still made the Galaxy)

Reference the winch x only emergency service vehicles are authorised to use blue lights.

@elliothogben Even so it will just draw attention from neighbours and passers by etc. A blue light shows for miles at night in the countryside. In a remote area of the sort were Greg is likely to be recovering from anyone nearby would be confused/ curious and likely to turn up blocking the road further or causeing distraction. Amber beacon and people will think it is a tractor.

Off road winching I always use a winch blanket of some description usually an old jacket thrown over the rope. Takes seconds but would reduce the momentum and speed of a broken cable.

I do recovery myself for a big company with Police contract. Just a pointer from me Greg. I HATE lads who have twisted straps. It's all about image and perfection. I know it's a bit Anal but your strapping is terrible and looks awful. A bit more presentation would go a long way ... Its not me being a dick just having an observation given I do the same job but on a bigger scale. I don't think there is any excuse for messy straps...Sorry for exposing my OCD and hope you don't take offence as your doing a great job and love your videos. Infact, I've even taken a couple of ideas from you for when I'm doing the job. The job can be hard and stressful especially 24/7 on call for Police uplifts but please sort your straps out 😂😂...Well Done on your Subscribers also 👏 🎉

@richardlaw5737 let's see you go on a public road with a flashing blue light...... You can have a blue light if it is on all the time and doesn't flash. The recovery guys have been fighting to get flashing red lights at the rear. At the moment only emergency vehicles and the highways team can use them at the moment. But as I right this I think not has been passed that recovery vehicles can now have flashing reds at the rear

I’ve got blue road flares that I can stick on my cones or put in the road or even stick to the van with the magnets It’s not illegal Rear reds for breakdown personnel have been approved, your supposed to fill out a load of forms I’ve had rear reds on my van for +5 years and have had traffic police on scene multiple times and they have said nothing
