Wow that is some deposits there. A know issue which this “new” fuelling. Short travels doesn’t help on these… very informative and some good heads ups for these. Hope you get the other issues sorted soon Gareth.

Hey Vitor, fuelling isnt the issue here, the injectors fire directly into the combustion chamber and after the intake valves so it doesnt matter the quality of fuel or any additive you use cause it doesnt touch the valves. I personally hate this design. Thank you for the kind feedback about the video though 😊 i certainly hope it gets sorted soon. Kinda wish i just bought a 2nd CRZ as a daily

@@ExpressionCulture hey mate. I meant the design. The fuel is injected at high pressure and these engines are running higher compression rates. I Believe Jason from“Engineering Explained” addressed this issue and oil dilution.

I love your content what’s next for the Crz I have a 2013 Crz lots of spoon parts it’s currently having it’s brakes refurbished I want more Crz content but love the gk5

Hi Jamie, thank you so much for your positive comments. Cant give away too much haha but like i said i do have some new parts already here waiting for some warming weather so i can work on it again. The CRZ is my pride and joy, that will never change. The GK5 is only my daily but have been draining me on money lol just had injectors under warranty and its still not 100%, possibly going back in for further testing with honda

I’m pretty sure the 1.3 is indirect injection.

@@ExpressionCulture that’s why I got the 1.3! Toyota uses its D4S system which uses both direct and indirect injection. Maybe you can sell your GK5 for a newer GK3?

@@ExpressionCulture I’m not a fan of gdi engines let alone gdi turbo ones. The previous gen Civic, we had a 1.0 t gdi and the infamous 1.5 t gdi. I think Honda should of implemented both indirect and direct injection to their engines, like Toyota.
