I'm getting a p0441 and a p0446 code for My dad's 2000 tundra. I tested the valves and they seem to be good looks like it's the charcoal canister. Genuinely appreciate this with so helpful

Here's what I don't get: people say that the vent valve solenoid is open by default, when no voltage is applied, and it only closes when the computer sends voltage to it (for creating a vacuum during leak/blockage tests). But in that case I don't understand how the vapor canister is able to "trap the fumes" and release them to the engine via the purge valve (which is closed by default and opens only when voltage is applied)? Because as long as the vent valve is open, all fumes will travel through the charcoal filter and out into the atmosphere, meaning that there's no trapping. And to make matters even worse - your fuel gets continuously evaporated this way. Also, many videos have completely opposite explanations which are 100% conflicting, where one guy says the vent valve is a 1-way street for getting air IN the vapor canister, but never OUT, then another guy says the complete polar opposite (only OUT, never IN), then some others say it's a 2-way street for both IN and OUT. I'm completely lost here...

So how do you know if you have a "issue" with your Evap system? I have a 8 month old Toyota GR86 Premium which is kept inside a garage. Just last night i went into the garage and i noticed a low humming noise coming from the rear of the car. I couldn't tell where the noise was coming from until i put my head down level with the rear tire. The noise was coming from the center of the car, perpendicular to where my head was from the center of the rear tire. This vehicle only has 800 miles on it, just a side note. I turned the car on, let it run for 3 minutes, turned it off, and the noise stopped, which i figured it would. I then went onto a facebook group that i'm in for GR86 owners, and immediately started getting posts saying it was the Evap system. Okay, so what does that mean? Is the car running okay and doing what it's supposed to do? Is this normal for cars in this day and age? I can't imagine something is wrong because it's so new, but just wondering what your take is on all this @AutoLine Pro Thank you i hope you have a blessed day

thanks, good demonstration, I have a problem in my car, the purge valve was canceled a long time ago, now when the fuel tank is low the engine stalls during driving, but when the tank is full it's normal >>please help me!

But what's the problem with fumes if left in the fuel tank and evap system is not used?

We have a 2008 KIA Sorento EX that has 281,000 miles on it (still runs great). Have changed out the gas cap, several times, due to gasket failure causing a check engine light to come on. It is back on again... EVAP has been changed out several times. Hoses seem find and have been tested for leaks. The only this that is original is not listed as changed. Help as to fix current check engine light as to testing what now has failed?

I have a 2010 Avalanche and occasionally what I belive is the evap system there is something that runs for about 3 or 4 seconds and sounds like a small air compressor is this part of the evap ? Thanks

Is that all that you can say about EVAP system? And you call yourself a professor? Only thing that makes you LOOK like professor is glasses. Man, your knowledge you have shared here is so narrow...
