Korea🇰🇷 and Taiwan🇹🇼 are the only 2 countries that really make it by themselves while remaining its democratic political system, I'm pretty sure these two can still maintain their place especially Korea, they are economically powerful and politically powerful over their controversial politics with North Korea, I can see South Korea becoming the next Japan in Asia, with or without North Korea. Taiwan is economically powerful, but it's not politically powerful to its counterpart, China, in comparison to South Korean and its counterpart, North Korea. It will continue to thrive if they can manage to cut off its political issue with China, but for now it's really up to US and China, whether or not Taiwan can become a full independent country and enjoy all the globe economic benefits as a country. Singapore is very unique to me with their single political party system, while being ruled by a single family, many countries eventually led to a corruptive country, and Singapore was the only one that made it, but after Lee family, I wonder if their next leader can still carry on the glory, their politics will be put on to an exam later, Lee did allow more voices to show now, but after Lee, it's likely Singapore will run into some obstacles with full democracy, just like Taiwan and South Korea for the past 2 decades, it's either a boost to their economy or a drag, only time will tell, but their future is bright. Hong Kong enjoyed their glory from GB's rule and later benefits from China's economic boost. Now HK is officially part of China after 2019 unfortunately, I hope they can still remain their place but it seems their politics will be heavily influenced by China for the next decades, which is not looking good for their economy right now or later on, I pray for people of Hong Kong, they either ride high or low with China now.
