Looking at getting one and was wondering how is the operation cost compared to regular washer + dryer ? I'm guessing it's lower since it's not using the 220 v outlet. Also any concerns about the top of the device getting hot and impacting electronics long-term?

I don't have hard data. Ours is a little hard to figure out since we have an electric car and a hot tub.....

Not worth worrying about its so low get ya couple dozen bags of insulation for attic and crawlspace a smart thermostat and water heater save ya way more money

Actually 220 volt systems in general are more efficient than 110 vac systems but in the case of 220 volt dryers they will run like 5000 watts during the peak of the drying cycle so obviously any other way of drying is a huge improvement over a 220 volt element..1 video I watched he tested the wattage usage during the drying cycle and I believe it was like 1100 watts..my water heater is hybrid-heat pump and it's way cheaper than 220 volt alone.. But to be fair if I had natural gas i would use that over electric any day of the week..

Ours gets warm at most. I’ve yet to have it be anything close to uncomfortably hot on top.

I clean my lint filter after every load and I'm a very light user. I get quite a bit of lint on my filter after each use. But here's my problem. I noticed I'm getting a good amount of lint that's making its way to the condenser coil on the upper right corner. Thankfully I can reach my hand in that area because its right there at the front. One of my buddies that has this same machine also reports the same exact issue. He's getting lint on the condenser in the same area as mine. I like my machine but it seems like the more care I'm giving it the more possible gremlins keep coming out. Nothing I can do now because I obviously own it and I can't return it after having it since June. But as much as I enjoy the unit, I don't think I would do it again knowing what I now know. The machine seems like it has several things that are going against it in term of things that can and probably will shorten its life span.

Get the GE brush set for $20. Takes the lint right off the fins with hardly any effort. Would be nice if it didn’t happen in the first place but with the brushes you can get it entirely cleaned out in about 30 seconds.

Check out the channel: Ben's appliances and junk. He breaks down how to clean the coils and modify the filter to help prevent debris from getting past.

Have you noticed after recent updates a new "Ultra Fresh" setting that cannot be enabled in the meny on the machine? Loving ours so far!

Interesting, I will need to look. Are you seeing it in the App?

@@Innovate2renovate no, just on the display as I was scrolling through the ibis display the other day looking for a setting.

We just bought ours yesterday. Just wondering if you can pause & unlock the door between wash and dry to add a dryer sheet?
@Innovate2renovate9 ай бұрын
Yes you can I believe there is a setting where is will automatically pause for 10 minutes so you can put them in.
@Magsbravo8 ай бұрын
But you don’t need dryer sheet in this combo.. the clothes are not static after drying cycle is completed
@terryzolnik12048 ай бұрын
Yes, when you are setting up your wash and dry options before pushing the start button, select “wash complete” and washer will notify you on your phone or by the chime on washer that wash cycle is complete. Push pause, add your dryer sheet, and push start. I also love the wrinkle care option that tumbles the clothes occasionally after wash/dry cycle is complete and keeps your clothes from wrinkling, it will continue up to eight hours I believe with minimal energy consumption- my favorite option.

How do you find accessing the drain pump clean out?
@robertsole99707 ай бұрын
Watch the videos, you remove a plate on the bottom right and then unscrew it out. There are plenty of videos showing it

Had mine three months and it’s fine. Why are people so bitchy about the drying time? Find something to do. I do clean the lint filter after each load too. Once again it’s NO big deal, so stop the bitching about thst too.
@johnsohn6536 ай бұрын
My only gripe is I want to make custom cycles on the app. I just use the time dry and would rather not have to punch it in every time. Not a big deal and I'm definitely happy with the purchase.

I don’t use Fabric Softener. It always reminds me to fill the softener. Is there any way to get rid of that? I haven’t been able to figure that out.
@jamespaul18359 ай бұрын
It gives you the options to set it at more or less or off just tap the fabric softener on the right side and you can see the changes.

Not sure why people are so surprised about the time it takes to finish? My LG washers normal generic cycle is 57 minutes and my LG dryers generic cycle is around 45 minutes on auto dry and most times i have to run the cycle again because they aren't completely dry...just my 2 cents worth
