Great video. Any reason for choosing the Progress Adjust I plus a separate lanyard for your handled ascender instead of going with the Progress Adjust Y?

One possible reason is that the progress adjust Y is considered a single point by IRATA standard.

Would these be safe to wrap around a tree? Meaning, using only one of these to connect from the arness, around a tree, and back to the arness?

His harness has a gated attachment, he can open up that D ring, place equipment and then close it.

Are you using this over a Grillion now? What’s the difference between the 2?

We still use the grillon and grillon plus for training and on jobs. The adjust has just taken the place of our other second lanyard on our kit. The simplicity and ease of adjustment on it makes it great for a quick fall restraint attachment, aid climbing, clipping on to gear so it doesn't fall, rescue attachment, etc. It's been a great multi-use piece of kit for us. The grillon we still use on jobs, especially as our main fall restraint connection. The biggest differences are the length they come in and then the adjust is hard-linked into our harness whereas the grillon is a separate piece and can be used for a deviation, tie back, pick off strap, etc.
