I like how you use affordable stuff and make great video still

The Opteka lenses isn't made softer by the adapter you're using as it's simply a dumb adapter (it doesn't have any glass elements or anything), it's likely just a soft lens naturally. It's also a 170mm full frame equivalent on the G7, which definitely doesn't help with the jitter!

I think you might like the canon SL2/ 200d more than the G7. It takes better photos, has higher quality lenses, has dual pixel autofocus, and has a higher quality slow motion. Do you really use 4k (do you really need it?). It's a lot harder to edit. I'm trying to sell my G7 for the Sl2

I have a Question: What would you buy if you are a beginner: or better say a "Starter Kit" for beginners, where you have all things for filmmaking. Could you make a Video

Hey Aiden what quick release plates do you use? Looked up a few videos and I’m not quite sure who to trust so if you can find the same model can you tell me which ones you used? Thank you!

try the viltrox ef-m2 focal reducer, if you want to eventually transition back to canon it will help you

Adapters with no glass elements have no bearing on overall lens image quality, they merely act as a spacer to fill in for the lack of mirror, and of course add the right mount. If anything images will seem sharper on M43 as you are only using the centre portion of the lens

Hey aidin you should try putting your gimble on a monopod, you can get some pretty cool effects that are similar to a jib

Don't have a monopod atm but I've seen that in some Brandon Li videos and it looks sick

The g7 really is similar to my camera, the Canon eos sl2. The sl2 also has a cropped sensor and since I really like the professionalism and look of your videos, could you recommend some lenses for crop sensors that work with canon? Thanks Aidan and keep it up!
@ezra32336 жыл бұрын
I'm not Aidin but imma give you recommendations anyway, a 10-18 mm lens will be a good fit if you're vlogging, it's not that cheap though, I love canon sl2 and looking forward on getting one on the future
@lukestrege5026 жыл бұрын
Do you ever have trouble balancing your G7 on the crane since it is so light? I just got a crane plus, same size as v2 and I can seem to get it to tilt sideways left and right.

Really like your content! Just saw your Iceland video and it's absolutely stunning! What are your thoughts on panasonic G85/G80? I was planning on buying one for video, but from what I've seen the AF is not good at all apparently. Also you recommend buy offbrand clone batteries. Is there any specifics you would recommend? Isn't there downsides from buying those? Keep doing a great work!
@AidinRobbins6 жыл бұрын
Never used one but I use the G7, it's pretty similar and I like it. I guess offbrand batteries might not last as long but considering the price difference there's no reason to but from the camera brand imo
@epochstories6 жыл бұрын
Aidin Robbins thank you very much :)
@newfoundmass6 жыл бұрын
EPOCH the G85 has decent auto focus comparable to the G7, maybe even better. It also includes IBIS which really is great.

newfoundmass thank you :) I might go with that

Been considering a gimbal for quite a while now but my main question is, how hard is it to get focus right while on the gimbal wit the g7?? I assume you don't have a follow-focus and I've always thought without that and with the g7's tiny m4/3 lenses and focus rings it would be quite a challenge. Unless you're shooting everything on the gimbal with a high aperture where everything's in focus.🤔
@AidinRobbins6 жыл бұрын
I just use autofocus lol, not even worth trying to use manual on a gimbal imo
@alecmuellervisuals616 жыл бұрын
Aidin Robbins gotcha, makes sense

Can you do a tutorial or a lesson on sound effects in a cinematic sequence. Like all the sound effects in that super cinematic ending so the Iceland video. They really make the video good but idk how to do it.

Hey I've been watching your videos for a while, good stuff. I'm going to Colorado this summer and was wondering if there would be a problem at the airport security check because of my batteries. I heard that you can't take lithium batteries on the plane. Is this true? Keep up the good work ; )

bokeh has nothing to do with the sensor size. it's because the bigger lenses you have to use, because there is no crop if you use a full frame camera
@AidinRobbins6 жыл бұрын
Please don't be that person 🤦♂️ a 50mm f/1.4 on full frame will have a shallower depth of field than a 25mm f/1.4 on micro four thirds, that's what I meant smh
