Good afternoon Adventurers, this is "Gear I use" and the first episode, is the snow peak folding torch. Formerly called the "giga torch" to go along with the Giga power stove and the Giga Lantern..... I wonder if they still exist.

There is a great sense of satisfaction from lighting a fire with one match with the breakdown of logs to kindling, but there is also a great sense of satisfaction from using a blowtorch, with the added bonus of less prep and more fun from playing sensible with instant fire to get things going. I have a Blow torch I use for Plumbing, but found it was really handy for lighting our Chimenea, charcoals and camp fires. Then I learned that I could refill the bottles and then that with an adapter they can be used with gas stoves. Which cuts costs in the long run. Not seen any thing like the Snow Peak here in the UK. Cracking Video again Brett.

I totally agree on the satisfaction thing.... both have their place.

Snow Peak makes solid gear. Lots of BTUs on that torch plus nicely compact. Let's not joke around.....when you need fire, you need fire!

I second that piece of gear! 😂 Worth the price! Very compact and better than a match 😉

This is definitely on the list of gear I'd never own or use, but it's cool to see it in action. I can already see you've gotten more than the $70 price tag worth of enjoyment out of it. Love the title you came up with fir this series of videos.
