100% agree. Other than government employees, firearm company owners, and (already) successful content creators, I have no idea how anyone affords anything. Or who is buying all the multi-thousand dollar weapons and optics

Get what you can, when you can, how you can. A cheap AR may only get you through 10,000 rounds before it breaks. But it can get you through 1,000,000 dry fires. Used military surplus sold on craigslist and yard sales can get you most of the way there gear wise. You will never have the best of the best equipment anyways.

This should be part of the rifle budget before you buy. A good rule of thumb is to double to cost of the AR itself, inclusive of having a good safe if you have young children.

Just Setting up for Classes is a great learning Experience.. Actually taking a Real inventory on your Freedom/Life saving Tools and then seeing how woefully unprepared you are in General.. Batteries, Knee Pads, Lube..🤭…😅 well, You get the idea.🤙🏻

I'm not bringing a rifle to a drone fight. I'll lose every time. Asymmetrical survival. Not that guns aren't important, just this isn't 2015, it's 2024 and you have to be 2 steps ahead. Besides I'm 70, I'll let them think I'm harmless. My biggest strength is that I've submitted to Jesus and repented of all my sin so that He considers my life precious. Every cell of my body.

And bring a notepad and pen. There is plenty of trigger time, but also lots of pearls of wisdom dropped at WPS classes.. having a notepad will ensure you bring home more than just sweaty and Powder burnt clothing

If the training course you're going to take is worth anything, they'll provide the list of necessary gear. The other gear is common sense, or you can write it down from this short.
