Well in that case, tvs has really gone mad with recommending the same engine oil to be used as gear oil for jupiter and jupiter 125 🤔 And the difference is certain. The Transmission works way better and smoother with the castrol gear oil.

no, you shouldn't. Too much sulfur can harm the engine instead, try to use dedicated engine oil additives like MoS2, boron-ceramic in proper dosage too much additives can cause clutch slipping even very high quality MA2 oils may cause slippage in rare cases

Use 140 gear oil..........I'm using same since 5 years for My CBR......never did chain adjustment as chain slack is maintained(20-25mm) due to proper lubrication. PS: I clean(with diesel) the chain every 300-400 kms and lube with 140 oil. For lubing the chain, I follow this method - kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3S9YoF9bdqMd7c

Depends on your use......140 will stick better to chain as compared to 90 which flings at higher speeds.......for city riding upto 50kmph, 90 will serve the purpose

Because of sulphur which is present on gear oil he suggested to avoid using it as it might corrode the chain

Lets also consider that even if it corrodes, the damage will be superficial on the brass coat which ultimately should not effect the final drives performance (apart from rust development). Most riders get brass coated chain drive for the looks so I thought of including that in the video 😊

One suggestion brother please do make a review / comparison video of Eneos, Petronas Sprinta, Mobil, Total Energies and Valvoline Engine oils. As these are very big brands in engine oil industry and they offer scooter engine oils too all under 400 rupees. They highly attract us enthusiasts towards them.

@@thesportztourerbro I used the Eneos scooter fully synthetic engine oil. Being a synthetic oil I expected it to run for around atleast 4k kms. Near 3k kms I randomly checked the dipstick and to my surprise it was bone dry. Upon draining the oil there was hardly 100ml oil and it looked like it came from a diesel engine. Idk if that’s an issue with my engine but I remember my scooter was once run on mineral oil for 4k kms it still looked much better than this. Idk what is to blame here my engine or the engine oil. Please drop your suggestion on this. I’m currently using the Mobil1 synthetic technology scooter engine oil.
