Many folks get mis-directed at that same split, espically when hiking to Charlies Bunion. Ran into 2 hikers with no gear at probably around the same spot you turned around at (head end of Aneeksta Ridge), and asked where they were headed; "Charlie's Bunion" they replied. I gave them the low down, made sure they were good and they quickly turned back.

If the hip belt gets too big it’s due to the bag requiring a full ccf pad. Just add a small ccf butt pad or a cutout section of a bigger pad on top of yours in the mesh pocket. Add one up in the shoulder also; I did that on my Qidian Pro and you end up with very good mid back ventilation with nice strap adjustments

I can relate to going off course. I used to do cycling Brevets - Long distance rides. I was dong a 300k and missed a turn. I was about 10 miles off course when I realized it and had to back track. Brevets are timed events not a race. I had to hump it catch up to my time window.

If you can find some jewel weed on the trail you can use it to get rid of poison oak or ivy usually works within 24 hours and grows near poison oak

I've ordered the same backpack you're carrying for the Tour du Mont Blanc. I'm pretty slim in the waist and 184 cm tall, so I hope it's going to fit me as well. Do you still recommend the pack? Great videos, keep it up!

Do you find the Appalachian trail a bit boring compared to the PCT/CDT with the near constant tree cover and somewhat similar terrain the whole way?

Nope not boring at all

A tiny dab of Clobetasol(strong steroid) cream would clear the poison ivy up in about 3 days.You might ask a pharmacist at WM,CVS,etc if they would sell you a tube so you wouldn't have to pay for a doctor,PA, or urgent care fee. Good Luck! :)
@chrisrbrobin6 ай бұрын
Agree with Barry. I get very serious Poison Ivy and meds clear it up almost immediately. A Doctor can help.
