Awesome video! I have iron cobras at home and recently tried the pearl eliminator and I gotta say, the eliminator feels so much lighter than the iron cobras. I didn’t even know it has this many upgrades and adjustability prior to watching this video. Now I know which pedals I should upgrade to next, thanks man!

Thank you very much, Man! The Eliminator Redlines, or the old Eliminators, are indeed equipped with so many possibilities, considering the price to get them and what you get after you purchase them.. Yes, it has pros and cons, but everyone/everything does.. 4 cams, 3 pedal positions, 3 footboard heights and many more.. 4 times 3 times 3, basically you’ll have 36 pedals in one, and you’re free to choose one that suits your drumming..

Man, nice review. I’ve just bought the double pedal and it feels really nice after spending 2 years with demon’s direct drive. My personal opinion, chain > direct drive, even for fast speed. Heel toe is easier on these ones.

Thanks, Man.. I appreciate you watching my honest review along with its pros and cons.. Every pedal has pros and cons, Man.. Over the past years, I’ve tried playing on different pedals.. Before I settled with Pearl's stuffs, I owned the Offset Eclipse Center Pedal and it was amazing, bass drum centered for better stereo imaging just like Mangini's latest kit, and between right and left (basically both are slave pedals that connect to the center piece) they were so easy to calibrate and every technique felt good.. But for now I have the pair I need in these Eliminator Redline and I'm proud of this series..

Hi there! I also have the demon single and dual direct drive pedals. I've been considering these Redlines. Now I'll be purchasing these because of your real-world review and then sealed by your comments right here about chain > direct drive for easier heel toe. Right now, this is critical to me as a drummer. We can save the details of 'why' for later. For now, just know this gives me great confidence in learning how to play primarily heel down with the same sense of calm confidence as I used to play rocking and sliding. Thanks for a very clear review. When something changes permanently, you can either quit or adapt. In that spirit, your review and these comments give me hope that there are more tools coming to help me adapt, and still express my full heart and my beloved Drums. Thank you thank you thank you. I had the original eliminators and they rusted out eventually. I got the demon drives and it was a mistake. They are too awkward feeling. I used the blue cam on my eliminators with the pedal footboard set in the middle position. I can’t get the demon drive to feel anything like an eliminator pedal.

We can’t win against the force of nature, oxidation and rust will build up eventually.. Therefore a maintenance is a must.. Demon Drive (direct drive) is still a remarkable pedal, but I guess it’s not made for everyone.. You and I are one of them.. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, Dude.. Cheers..

I see this was posted 3 years ago so maybe the price was different then; but as of October 2024, the single pedal sells for about $285 USD. I can not imagine it costs Pearl that much to manufacture these since there's no machining involved. $200 for a brand new single pedal would be a fair price in today's market; all things considered.

I prefer the red cam, I’ve used my from Irish folk music, to death metal, and everything in between. I recommend these pedals highly to anyone look for a great all around pedal. My only real gripes are, they should offer a longboard version, and converting the double pedal to two singles, is a pain in the ass, how difficult would it be to put a beater holder on the slave pedal?, the spring assembly was easy to move, but basically having to take the pedal apart to get two single?, C’mon Pearl.

I am 100% with you, and personally I think that will not happen because they’ve already have the Demon Drive (P3000 series which is shortboard-longboard convertible) and the Demonator (P900 series which is permanently longboard).. As for converting into two singles, you can check on KZbin, there is one guy who has succeeded in converting the double pedal into two singles.. Search it up, man.. Dude, I am sorry for the late reply.. I no longer use these pedals but based on my experience, here’s my comment.. Black cam is circular, it provides the most natural feel, as for the Red cam it has a more pointy angle at the front top of the cam you’ll feel more acceleration towards the bass drum head.. If you play Classic Rock and Jazz, I recommend you to get the black cam, but if you want to explore more style of musics, then the one in the video might be it, Man.. Rock on.. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

@TimPetersonMusic
@TimPetersonMusic 11 ай бұрын
I tried the Iron Cobra, but I forgot which one.. Looking at the cams, I believe that the Powerglide is more like the Red Cam on Eliminator and the Rollingglide is similar to the Black (if not Blue) Cam on Eliminator.. If I were to play on these pedals, I would most likely pick the Powerglide because the angle of how the chain falls is much more of a right angle therefore more acceleration towards the kick drum.. @TimPetersonMusic
@TimPetersonMusic 3 жыл бұрын
In the P2000C or P2050C, you can really feel each cam's characteristic.. On certain technique, some cams may work, on others it may feel a little bit different.. As for the RH2000 or RH2050, I only put the red cam to match the cams I'm using on my 2 P2050Cs.. I am not sure about the difference of each cam for the RH2000/RH2050, because 90% of the time my left foot is on the left bass drum pedal and I always set my left hihat to half-open.. Feel free to experiment on which cam you prefer for the RH, and please let me know if you feel the differences..

@Joey Cymbals I have a previous version Pearl Eliminator and I can tell you that each cam offers a different feel, it depends what your playing style is, you can adjust the pedal how you want
@JoeyRam.
@JoeyRam. 2 жыл бұрын
I have black, white, red and blue. All feel the same in my remote hi hat (RH2050). The difference is only in the bass pedal. This is what Pearl saids: The Black Cam is Pearl’s original linear-feel cam for smooth, well-balanced action. The White Cam is also linear but larger in diameter for a lighter feel and increased power. The Blue cam is offset & starts with a light feel at the beginning of the stroke & accelerates with speed & power upon impact. The Red Cam is radically offset and provides great response for sensitive footwork and extreme power upon impact. The Purple Cam provides aggressive acceleration for high power and response, second only to the Red Cam. The Yellow Cam provides a slight inverse action. When maximum power is required, this is the cam of choice.

Great video man. I currently use Pearl eliminator double pedal the previous version with belt drive, the blue cam for now is my favourite, it has light feel with a lot of power when you hit the bass drum. I'm wondering if the new Redline model is smoother because of the ninja bearings, what do you think ?

Thank you for stopping by and checking my gear review, Man.. I’ve played the previous Eliminator before, and yes I agree that the Eliminator Redline is smoother than the previous Eliminator due to the fact that the bearing does contributes a lot to the overall performance of the pedal.. As for me, the Red cam is my favorite, because it suits my playing style..

@@josephforcino8099 Heel toe technique feels awesome with this pedal.. Responsiveness is great, but not with the blue cam, in my opinion.. Your opinion may differ.. You should get these pedal right away.. Great pedal, great deal, so many adjustments possibilities you can get..
