I have only demoed this pedal when they first came out. I dunno if it was different then the model shown here but it was gen 1. I could tell that it improves my playing immediately. Probably was the direct drive design but don't know for sure. I'm still too cheap 😂 to buy one but when I have to replace my Iron Cobra this will be on my short list. No other piece of equipment has made me play better that I can think of. I have a feeling I would have less foot fatigue using this too but don't know for sure. Awesome product!Felt better than DW 9000 back then for me. Been playing since 1975 so I'm impressed by very little. This pedal killed for me.

2:20 you mixed up the adjustment for the beater distance and the foot board height. Not that there is an issue but from the way you're adjusting the foot board height, I'd assume you'd be wearing out the teeth on the pedals holding the beater arms. The lines you see on the side of the pedal by the springs 1:58 is so you can line up the foot board height appropriately to match both feet. the lines you can see on the beater holders and the metal parts berfore the beater holders is so you can allign the beaters accordingly. Reading the instruction manual goes a long way guys.

If you do the "pull back the beaters and let go at the same time" test, the left beater stops way too quick. Yes, I've checked the drive shaft, tested soooo many spring tensions, heights, etc. Nothing works. When you take the drive shaft off, and do the same test only with the pedals - it's fine. Because that shaft isn't so smooth, it causes a little more tension - and you can't loosen the spring enough to compensate. Looking into more even double pedals - anybody have any great suggestions for latest, greatest for fast dbl bass metal?

No, the plate and the hinge are inverted. The hinge is fixed with a plate you have to unscrew and move back so the plate will come in between the footboard and the hinge.

@drummonkeystuffuk18755 жыл бұрын
Heel-toe is very easy on these pedals, coming from my eliminator pedals i tried these out and my heel toe echnique was a lot smoother.
@hazardeur4 жыл бұрын
if you cant do heel toe on these pedals, you are doing it wrong. Hell, I have big feet and I can do heel toes on my old iron cobras. I can do them a bit better on the Demon Drive though but its not like the pedal change enabled me to play that technique. If you cant do a technique on any pedal, you do it wrong. A good (or in this case longer) pedal should just enhance your technique by a notch but it certainly shouldn't be a solution to cheat your way through it with bad technique. That approach will bite you back in the end and you might become one of those fools that have an expensive pedal but don't have proper technique with it. Been there and it's not good.
