Thank you for speaking on the break-in period! I just picked up some and am 50-50 on whether I like them or not. I think I just need to commit to them for a while before passing judgement. This is my first time using an aftermarket insole. Would you say that now that you’re used to them, you have the need to buy these insoles for multiple pairs of shoes? Thanks for the review!

Hi, I chose this pair of insoles for my hoka one one torrent, thanks to the few reviews I could find on youtube and yours. I cut them out and they fit well. I went out at a slow pace (race in 3 days) to test them and "break" them. I'm comfortable in it, the arch support reminds me of my orthopedic insoles that I had had when I was younger. We feel that it takes the shape of the feet. However I have some questions and concerns. Firstly, the soles are higher than the original ones and the "ball" of the heel seems a little less locked in the shoe, my heel seems to come out slightly. I imagine that over time it will adjust and get thinner ... Also I wonder what are the real advantages of such an insole, I understand that it reduces pressure points, reduces the risk of injury and fatigue of the feet, that it improves comfort over long distance. But I still doubt that it will be useful over a short distance (less than 10km). Indeed these soles are heavier than the simple original thin soles, thicker and therefore I would say that we have more cushioning and therefore less dynamism, speed ?? Also this carbon plate, protects stones, okay, but it makes the terrain feel less, and I also feel like I have lost stability with this extra thickness. In short, I would just like to know if it's better that I do my 7km trail with these insoles or with the original Hoka insoles, what are your opinions about the points I mentioned, in particular the loss of dynamism, loss of energy in the cushioning, loss of speed? (I have calves and Achilles tendons in steel, I ran a lot in 5fingers ^^) I hope that someone will have had the courage to read everything despite the faults (I am French) and will be able to give me his opinion. Thank you in advance !
