And said Bass sounds *AMAZING!*, and as a 6 (soon to be 7 when my Special Order comes in) Spector Bass Owner I'd be first on the list to purchase one... if Spector made a Bolt-On Version. All but one of my Spectors are "ReBop 4/5 DLX FMs & EXs", except for my Legend Classic 6-String, as Spector doesn't make a "ReBop 6", and it makes far more sense *for me* to go to the next line down and modify the Pickups, Preamp & Tuners to be as close to my ReBops as possible rather then spend a HUGE amount on a "Euro6 LX" that I'd honestly play the least of all my Spectors (I picked up the Legend Classic 6 for a *steal* of a price) as I'm not a fan of the woods combinations and Electronics used in it. ...but an Alex Webster ReBop5 DLX FM models? I'd be there with the metaphorical Bells On! 👍🏼

Fender bought SWR and Genz-Benz years ago and I haven't seen much of anything from them in a while, which makes sense as Fender are trying to reintroduce/revamp their bass line as a whole. Sad too. SWR made some great sounding stuff, even if a tad underpowered at times. I loved their speaker cabinets- very clean and responsive.
@someoneelse1018 жыл бұрын
They did? 3 brands under FMIC have ceased production in recent years. Let's hope SWR don't fall by the wayside cuz their amps are really good

My bass is active and when I enter in my Alpha Omega the lows get just way too distorted and farty. Bringing the input volume down helps a lot.
@howler91713 жыл бұрын
I've been having that problem too. I used a sansamp bass driver for years and having an active bass was nice because it doesn't have a lot of gain on its own. I'm using a B7K Ultra now and it has an insane amount of gain, if my bass's volume knob is higher than halfway then it gets really fuzzy and noisy and you can't hear what notes I'm playing anymore. I want to just get a passive bass so I don't have to worry about batteries anymore

New(ish) strings are also very important. If your strings are dead, your high end frequencies will be really muted and you won't be able to hear all the chunky clicking noises he gets from hitting the strings. If you practice on a regular basis (like 30 mins to an hour every day), you should be changing your strings 3 or 4 times a year. If your strings are more than 6 months old it's time for a new set

Although Alex is one the best metal bass players in the world, unfortunately, many Cannibal mixes do not have clarity and it's hard to hear the bass lines. I'm speaking specifically for the high's mids of the bass. Torture, red before black and a skeletal domain have audible bass. But, Bloodthirst, the wretched spawn and many others lack clarity

@benbond34337 жыл бұрын
Na, man, he uses really low action, possibly like I do. I like to go just about the frets (if possible). That will naturally produce a "twangier" and/or more percussive style, especially if you pluck or pick hard. The same for Rex Brown's tone (Pantera): kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4Kbo5ppiJippqs
