i also own New Himalayan. completed 750km. done 1st service at 500km . No problem yet. only thing is when i m shifting gear, specialy 1st, 2nd and 3rd. it feels it make *khaat* sound or u can say a clank sound. should i be worried or is it nature of gear box ?? means gear shifting sound is more than small cc bikes.

It shouldn’t do that. Check if your chain is properly tensioned and there is proper free play in the chain. Then check if it’s properly lubed

Paji i hade a fall unfortunately have to ,replaced the clutch lever I’m not getting the free play of the clutch lever,can you guide me because there no diy video

Hey mate, thanks for the comment. The information and step by step regarding the clutch adjustment is mentioned on the owners manual of the Himalayan 450 and it’s the similar to the 650 super meteor as shown in video on app. I will not be posting anything regarding clutch adjustment anytime soon as it’s further down in the sequence of videos I’m making. @@Ankurag1118 hello, what isn’t mentioned in manual? The clutch lever free play or gear shifting speeds? Gear shifting speeds are mentioned on page 74 of owners manual of Himalayan 450 and clutch lever free play is mentioned on page 99 if I’m not mistaken 🙏

Hi I have recently bought Himalayan 450 and just completed 200km and i am getting a weird sound from the front and back wheel . It gradually increaseses when i am speeding the bike and vanishes. And when the bike is slowing it starts again the sound is like a bus applying brakes. Should i be worried.

What sort of weird sound would that be? Describe that please. The brake sound is normal in new bikes and would be gone after 2000km but do use engine braking along with the front and rear brakes. Don’t just apply front or rear brakes by themselves as Royal Enfield’s are quiet heavy and they do require engine brakes along with regular brakes ✊🏽

Completed 1750+kms. The sounds are starting to be like noises. Lol. The engine is not refined enough to get rid off the clucking noise during lower rpms. Which is never the case with any another bike.

@@shroud71 unfortunately it is normal and the response from various experienced people at that time I got was - “welcome to Royal enfield” 😄 And now I’m used to it.
