Just saw this. Glad we got some new content on the truck! Thanks for the info! I want to do the same to my 3.42 gears in my LTZ Silverado.

Does anyone know if you change your gear ratio on your truck should you change install a torque converter with a different stall speed or does it affect your torque converter at all

What year is your truck and which front axle gear set did you use? Having a hard time sourcing Front Set for a 2019

What's your opinion since you have had the gears swapped, trans tune, and the performance tune? I have a 2017 Sierra AT with the 6.2 and was curious. I have a 4" lift and 35" Ridge Graps on factory 20's. Runs good but it's not as fast as or was stock. 3.23 gears belong in a car haha

4.10s are performing well. I did sacrifice a bit of rpm on the highway but nothing crazy (around 550 rpm difference) doing 80mph.

Do you have a link to where you purchased your gearing kits?

did it run quicker too bro? got a 17 high country l86/8l90 stock wheels and height but wouldn’t mine going with these gears to help it

I ordered the same kit 9.5 for the rear and 8.25 for the front for my 2016 Sierra Denali but I had a problem with the pinion bearings, they sent me wrong size bearings I guess

Does the GM 9.5 rear end fit on a gmc sierra denali 2016 6.2L ?

I have the same year model truck and was looking to do gear change for my next mod. Can you list everything out
Yo bro I’m thinking about doing 4.10 I currently have 3.42’s 9.5” 12 bolts Would I need a tru trac ? Did you do a tru trac ? If so for what ? From my understanding, a tru track is for those guys that only burn out with one wheel lol My truck burns out with two ?

@@5.3david17 The G-80 and Yukon LSD are POSI. They use clutch packs and springs to engage. The more usage the more wear. The Eaton TrueTrac, however, is a Helical All Gear High Bias Limited slip. It will maintain its bias torque over the lifetime of the vehicle and is way better for aggressive (burn outs) and off roading applications. I have one in my 2000 GMC Yukon SLT. This things a beast, I don’t even need 4WD. The TrueTrac ate everything terrain I threw at it turn my old truck into an off road beast.

how much difference does it feel cruising in 8th gear on hills on highway? Like does it keep pulling with little throttle?
@TheCortezChannel.2 жыл бұрын
Definitely feels better. Rpm's stay at 2k at 70mph so once I touch the throttle she immediately starts pulling

@@TheCortezChannel. thank you I have 5.3 with 3.42 gears. I hate how on some hills I have to downshift in 7th. Just bugs me. Either going 3.73 or 4.10. Have not made up my mind yet
@TheCortezChannel.2 жыл бұрын
@@daltinos1011 if you're going to commit to buying gears I'd go 4.10's. I think going to 3.73's from 3.42's won't justify the cost, especially if your truck is 4x4
