As for stringing the crosses you can do what I do which is pre-string most of them and then pull your strings one at a time . You will have no problem with the tensions then.

Hi @Luk3d4wG , really enjoyed watching all the restringing videos in your channel. Do you restring racquetball racquets for players, or just for yourself only. If you do restring for players, how may I get in contact with you please and thank you.

I do restring, but only for local players, not via mail.

I came up with a top down crosses pattern for GB you might try At 35lbs I made the short side 10ft but 9 would have worked String as normal but Skip the out side mains and the top cross (skip H7 and T5 on the mains and skip H6L and H6R on the crosses) Tie off the short side Main at H5 Start Crosses at H7 and string a normal pattern to T6 On the last cross at the throat on the long side at T6 to T5 to H7 string the top cross at the head to H6 on long to H6 on the short side the last main on the short side from H6 to H7 to T5 and tie off at T3 on the short side do the dampener as normal this is similar to an "around the world" pattern in tennis

Thanks for sharing! I've never tried ATW in racquetball but will have a look at this pattern and maybe try it on my next Gearbox! I did consider doing 2 piece for these, but there aren't enough shared grommet holes for 6 tie offs (you need 2 extras for the string dampener on Gearbox racquets). So you can easily string 2 piece with a traditional dampener but not with the stock dampener -- thus, your 1-piece method might be a great solution.

Your video cut off at end...but the dampener is tied by hand after the entire racquet is strung? I believe that's so machine doesn't crack it right?
@Luk3d4wG2 жыл бұрын
Dampener is put in after stringing is otherwise complete. And since you're feeding it through on its own piece of string, you'll need to tie knots on both sides of the frame. But those knots should be pulled by hand, not tensioned by your machine, as the dampener's string does NOT need to be under tension any more than necessary to hold the knots snug.

@@Luk3d4wG Right, I've had my dampener broken by those using high tension on machine making it useless.They didn't even realize they broke the dampener. Just learning how to string...awesome videos!!! thanks buddy

What string tension did you use?

I usually string 33 pounds + 10% pre-stretch for myself and customers unless something different is requested.
