this video helped with my replacement a lot! Thank you. My battery was swolen and very hard to remove so in the process I accidentially punctured it with the pry tool and it caught fire a little. So if anyone is doing this with a puffy battery, wear gloves, protective glasses and do it in the garage or outside!

Best way is to make sure the battery has little charge when changing it.. Low charge means it contains little energy and highly unlikely to cause an issue if accidentally damaged whilst removing

If I’m correct it is the heat sink.. well I don’t think that you will face issues. But just check your nfc functionality.

Thanks. When removed the old battery there occured a spark and smoke behind it, I thought I had killed the phone, but with the new battery it works fine. However, the cable attached to the back cover that is connected to the camera flash (I think) broke, what does is that cable for? Anyway the phone works fine as far as I can tell.

What adhesive are you using for the back of the new battery? The same as for the back cover? :)

For the battery we are using Battery adhesive, you can get the iPhone battery adhesive strips for this (since they are the common) and for the back cover, we are using b7000/T8000 etc. And you can use pre-cut adhesive for p20 pro back cover.

well my battery was swelling so i had to do this to my own phone. the phone was 3 years old at the time and the battery was basically done for.

Well some sort of double site tape will do too, but do not use super glue or any other heavy glue.

Depends on the usage..But at-least 6 months it should do very well..but again depends on how well you are taking care of the phone and usage

My battery is since june 2018 and only started to get really bad the start of 2022. It did slowly get worse though. Hasnt been too bad for a long time. As long as you use original charger and stuff it'll stay good for everyday use/charge. Even if it loses its 2day battery life (mije used to last 2 days without charge now only half a day)

Please tell me, my battery has been fine the whole time. The phone just dropped on the ground and pressing the power button, it won't come on anymore. What do i do in such a situation? When i connect it on charge, it lights up then goes off and on again. @geardo

Most likely you have an issue with the button. If the button is not responding that is the issue. Maybe it can be the power flex too
