All the variation throughout, and then blending the main riff with the chorus riff for the final chorus was a really clever way of spicing up that ending. Great tune, Bean Dog.

A producer back in the day would have thrown a modulation into that Cyclops song near the end. Move it up 2 frets for the last chorus and that would be more than enough of a change up - or modulate down for the bridge and then back up for the same effect but with the same chorus riff.

Ataragatis was the goddess in ancient Syrian myth and was described as half woman and half fish and the 1st written example of a mermaid. Her counterpart was Astarte in Phoenician myth and Aphrodite in Greek myth. She's the goddess of love and fertility.
