Main power for locks is in the passenger front switch. Relays are on that board that’s why when you hit lock or unlock you can hear a click on the passenger front door if that’s the issue. I also had an issue where i could only roll windows down from drivers front switch. Took it out and resodered the board. The lockout button for child safety was messed up. Now all locks and windows work normal. Sounds like this XJ has a different issue.

hey so i have to reach across and flip the passenger locks and then my driver side switch will work again, so are you saying since replacing my driver side switch didn't fix it, that replacing the passenger side will?

Just so you know. the door lock modules are in the passenger door switch. One door working and not the other makes for a good diagnosis.

I have a 2000 Cherokee 4dr and everything works on the master driver side module EXCEPT the door locks switch wont unlock will only lock. The weird thing is my keyless entry (factory) also stopped working at the same time. If the power door lock switch is bad on the main driver module will it stop working from everywhere else?

I just got a 2000 Cherokee sport 4 door. My door locks and windows aren’t working. At one point the door lock was turning on the rear windshield wiper. Could it be the door switch?

Question for you, My driver side window wasn't functioning so i removed the panel and wiggled the wires - window started working so i replaced the panel and the window stopped working again. Any thoughts?

I have the same problem, I heard it might be grounded or bad wires any fix?

so was it the switch on the rear passenger window?

It was the regulator/motor. Get a test light take the door panel off to test the wiring to the regulator and if it shines brightly then thats what it likely is. If it shines dim or not at all then likely the switch.

Will this work if none of the windows go up or down at all after replacing driver side switch and removing all others?

What? Removing all other switches? The power for each window travels through each switch....so if you deleted all your switches no they will not work without modifying wiring.

Thanks, only asking cause the previous owner removed all switches and I had to replace the driver side wire harness just to get the driver side window to go up and down. No other windows work but I’m ok for now lol
