Oh and another thing! Anytime there's a timewalking week, not just the weekly quest but joining group finder and searching Legacy Raids for a last boss skip ("Yogg skip" during wrath week, "Illidan skip" during tbc week) will get you a free hero track piece of gear!

By now, at least 2 runed enchanted crests (queen ansurek questline and hallowfall renown) will be available for alts, 4 sparks, 3 catalyst charges, vet/champ gear from renown and at least 8 restored coffer keys. It is very easy to do t8 delves and push above 600+ within hours.

Btw. warbound gear in your warbank seems to count for your LFR minimum ilvl, I had 554 shortly after I dinged with stuff I already had from doing world events while leveling, but my unequipped ilvl was over 569 so I could join directly and grace that group with my glorious undergeared presence.

A tip that is not gear related but it was mentioned in this video when you transfer currency always leave 1 (so lets say u have a 1000 on one character transfer 999) because if u dont have any of a currency you can not transfer the currency back because that currency is gonna be missing in your currency tap (they said this will be fixed in patch 10.0.5)

Fun tip for others not interested in actually PvPing: the Sparks of War quest can be completely entirely by snuffling and it’s even quite quick! It’s almost totally safe unless someone rolls up while you’re killing one of the spawned mobs, but that’s only happened to me like twice. For the most part, it’s quick and brainless way to farm out those sparks, whilst getting lots of wax (which can be converted to valorstones) and gathering any weekly skill items for your professions!

To the don't upgrade champ gear save for hero in the end section there, if you have harbinger of the runed then this week you can upgrade a full set of champ to 616 with runed crests, and in 2 weeks it will be all of your gear to 619, so at this point, don't be afraid to just spend those runed as long as your main has 619 in every slot. Be a bit more prudent with them if you don't have harbinger of the runed yet though

I screwed myself over at the very beginning with that. I had the worst luck with winning anything at the beginning and didn't wanna be way behind everyone else in my guild for raid. I'm completely stuck at 615 waiting for crests now. Slowly getting stuff and making good choices now, but I definitely won't make that mistake again.

The next patch on October 22nd will be a good time to level alts. There will be a 20% XP buff available for the WoW Anniversary event, and it stacks with the warband XP bonus, and the Dark Moon Fair buff(50%+)

You can get your weeklies, choose World quests, turn on war mode, do world quests while in war mode and when you turn in you’ll have like 5 pieces of gear from that. After like 30 mins at lvl 80.

After that, Having a stack of coffer keys is the biggest thing you can do for an alt imo. If you think you wanna really play it. Level it now and do the world quests and/or the weeklies. Passively until you want to play it. Having like 10 keys already and deciding to gear a toon feels way different than bringing up a fresh toon and trying to gear. Both are easy rn tho.

A. few other ways of initial gearing. Weekly you can get 2 pieces of veteran gear prior to hitting level 80 by lighting the 4 lesser keyflames in Hallowfall, and also the AK zone meta quest. Both give lvl 80 Veteran track gear, even when you are below 80. I believe the special missions might also count, but you are still limited to 2 items per week. The other way is by preloading your vault by doing Delves and time walking dungeons. Once you hit 80, you will have an instant vault to chose from for every week you ran that content. Works best on characters you are leveling slowly over several weeks with rested XP bonus. It's fantastic gearing up remix alt armies.

Worth noting since I don't think you did, but the renown also gives you A LOT of random crests, valorstones, and delve keys for your alts to jump start a character.

If you´re a druid oand /or own one of the mounts that already allows mounted herbing (Sky Golem, Lumber thingy, Liight golem....), then I suggest you forego botany and go straight for bountiful harvests for the larger Null Lotus chance. ;)

Yeah, I'd use Skygolem and spend my points in the tree that gives skillpoints, so herbs will be of higher quality, and then specialize in Arathor's Spear and Luredrop, as they are worth the most by far. Skygolem doesn't work with mount equip slot though, so you can get dismounted by mobs even with Rider's Barding. Best advice is ofc: just be a druid.

HUGE WARBAND GEAR TIP. You can upgrade the gear on your main with the crests you don't need. Ex: I'm into myth track and can lvl up heroic warband items with extra runed crests and still put the items in my warband bank!

I've played druid, paladin and warrior. On both my alts it's been super easy to do tier 8 delves as a tank with as low as 580 ilvl. Saved keys for a few weeks, spammed 4 keys per day for a couple of days and you reach damn near 610 ilvl.

Healer and relic of sentience is best combo for delves if you want to snooze IMO, then get a weakaura to track medicine buff and have perma 4 stack heal

I got my Disc to 80. I just bought it 3 Renown pieces, got everything from normal/Timewalking, immediately soloed a T8 at 555 ilvl then the piece I got from that bumped me high enough to spam Heroics.

Run new alts through the timewalking raid under legacy raids in LFG. I whispered people when an upgrade for me dropped for them and 9/10 times they didn’t need it and traded to me. Easiest gearing of my life

Tailoring on alts pretty good still also pretty cheap to level it up enough to turn rank 2 bolt cooldowns into 3s with conc and 17% chance to multi craft with green tool once you fill in the points fully. You also get cloth when your running delves or that then which is usually few k a week doing 4 delves for me.

gathering is both inefficient leveling and inefficient gold, I would strongly suggest not doing that unless it sounds fun for you. most crafting professions can make better gold by taking advantage of concentration if you set things up right. just look for a guide

Let me butt in for the first part: LOL holy shit no. Maybe if you literally have no capital on your entire account. But if you want that alt to actually make money. Set them up to do Rank 3 enchants with concentration. Just gotta fly around and grab the treasures, get the +10 books with acuity and kej and you're golden. Don't even need to get it above 25 skill, just need green tools and the right knowledge points.

A warmode quest tip, if you see someone killing mobs for the world quest type /inv to try and invite them, helps to build a little team to speed up the killing mobs and protect you from people that might try and kill you

All the stuff prior to myth just feels like a waste tho, cuz then u just need to refarm the myth gear anyway. I just started playing keys on my alt and pushed up to 8s with full pugs with like 550ilvl on my char from the ah boes. You dont need to have friends carry you, just slam your key in lfg and have some fun. All these tips seem aimed at people who like experiencing different gear progression options, not what gets you fully geared the fastest.

@@kel1770 Not really. Gear progression is definitely important because realistically you aren’t going to get invited to mid level keys at that ilvl. You probably won’t even get invited to 0’s… you don’t have enough stamina to survive AoE damage and will definitely be getting carried. 550 isn’t even high enough to que for heroic dungeons… lol
