Just wanted to point out something really important about stat swapping armor and weapons in the mystic forge. If the ascended armor/weapon in question is a precursor for a legendary, and if you WANT to use it to make said legendary, then DO NOT CHANGE ITS STATS. When you use the mystic forge you aren't 'stat swapping', you're deleting the item and receiving a new one in it's place with different stats. Ergo, the item in question loses its 'precursor' status. If you aren't planning to grind for legendaries then this doesn't matter, if you are, then just don't do it and use an exotic item instead with the stats you want. I think it's only like what a 10% difference in stats or something? Not worth the heartache.

I think bloodstone Fen is the best place for backpack and some accessories because you can change the stats on them with a item the vendor also has

True, aye - tho' you do have to be careful about how you use the Stat Changing gizmo as it doesn't work very obviously. The item to be stat changed has to be in your inventory rather than worn and you have to manually go to Customize it rather than the panel coming up when you use the consumable. I learned this the hard way :chuckles:

one of the first ways? i think I got my ascended trinkets at the laurel merchant for laurels and some for guild commendations. I got those in 2013

It's not under the achievements tab in game, just skin unlocks for the back item. Just Complete LS2 eps 3& 4 - The Dragon's Reach, part 1& 2 and follow the guide at wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mawdrey/Walkthrough

Get bitter frost map, it has the most options for ascended gear from the winter berries vendors.

if u play pvp ranked u can get fairly easy the ascended wings for some league tickets and u dont spend any gold/karma or materials
