@@alanking7331 What are you gonna win? If you take 30 mins to learn your rotation and class you'll do 5x more damage in exotics compared to full ascended. That's not even an overexaggeration. Also, full ascended is not required for anything that 95% of people do, only for t4 fractals and CM strikes. It's only around 8% extra stats compared to exotics.

why is everyone complaining that this guide is so expensive. its a get the best gear in the game in 24 hours guide. If you don't have the cash, do it slowly like most people. This guide is for people who have the means to gear a character very very quickly....not that I am one of them.

Lmfao I don't get the hate you're getting in some of these comments. This is a really good guide that puts a lot of different farming methods all in one place. Folks are confusing 24h of playtime with with doing the whole thing in one day. I guess some people just expect ascended gear on day 1 for free! Anyway I wanna say thank you, I'm a new player that's been playing the game for a month and this is very helpful!

You don't need to craft Koss on Koss for the style guide collection, you can craft There with Yakkington: A Traveler's Tale which is stat selectable. It has the same skin.

A year after I watched this vid I still don't have a character with full-ascended, but I learned a lot. I farm the hell out of winterberries though and have 7 alts with exotic gear and ascended trinkets. It is fine since it lets me try new builds all the time. I highly recommend folks skipping the armor until they have a end-game goal, like T4 Fractals.

Some of the things are timegated for example Spool of Silk Weaving Thread (you need 4+) which is required for each Verata Ascended Armors

You can buy the end product on the Trading Post, I mean personally I would just craft them every day and craft your ascended armor over several weeks, but this guide is how to do it in 24 hours (expensive) XD for example spool of silk weaving thread is necessary to craft Bolt of Damask, and those you can directly buy on the trading post.

Become cheaper these days because drizzlewood (charrs drop vicious claw very common, you don't even have to open chest for that mat) and the new mystic forge refill making promote easier/faster to do

Well both are nice because winterberry gives you tons of wood if you do a little bit more effort, and if you use the unbound magic gathering tools its even more worth it. Pvp also great cuz you get reward track rewards + if you play ranked you get even more rewards from the pip chest system (and lots of gold).

From my understanding, to be able to craft ascended gear you need the recipe's (forgot where you buy them, check wiki) then maxed crafting disciplines (not all of them just certain disciplines like Armorsmith, Weaponsmith, Artificer, etc. though some ascended items need more than 1 crafting discipline maxed). Personally I just use gw2efficiency then list out the ascended item I want to craft then buy the materials I need at Trading Post. Costs like 30-60 gold depending on what I make.

You don't need a guild. But you will need the expansions, and some episodes of living story, and if you just started, getting the living story episodes means, spending $$ or grinding till you don't want to play the game any more.

@@danhealy79 you can get ring and accessories with laurels , and even armor in wvw ,it takes a while but , normal ppl do that and also fractals after you get a couple ascended and some good friends , guild shop , it all depend on the stats you want on your armor , for starters berserker armor is kind of easier , later you can have an alt and go for the more fancy stats like condition Viper stats that's my new goal after I finish unlocking Griffin mount

There are a lot of people that have been playing casually for years that this would apply to provided they haven't been spending gold on anything meaningful. It could also be a good reference point for people that already have full ascended that need to get a new set farmed up on other toons.

This is targeted at kids that come from other grindy mmos that think in order to be competitive you need to have ascended gear. Then they rush to 80 and find out that they need the expansions even to be able to unlock ascended gear, then grind like a little sea monkey for no other reason than a 5% (if that) increase in dps then quit a month later because they think that they completed the game and theres no more content. Ascended is NOT worth playing like this. Its a cosmetic item with a small stat upgrade, you can complete everything in game with exotic gear and actually learning your professions mechanic. I have items from 7 years ago that are viable in game today.

I've played the game I probably always will and I have probably to this day never spent over $100 in the cash shop. And I'll kind of sound the way you enjoy and what you want out of the game at the end of the day. I agree with what you said though, I feel that is the route most people take with the game.

Exotic works just as well for pretty much any content. If you play your build well enough you dont even need to be in full exotic, just having the right stats will work. You will be missing out on some great content.
