I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

Nice! One point to add, though: The spool is built for 3 or 4 levels of line, not just a single. If you overdo it, it won't feed -- just open back up, take off a foot or so, and go again. You'll be reloading a third of the time by using the entire spool capacity. Thumb's up on a great vid.

Game changer! I didn't realize that you only fill the spool to one layer and that the line should be side by side... I've been doing it wrong for YEARS and now I know why my line was not auto threading properly. (I was threading it until the entire spool was completely filled, and I also was not doing the line side by side... and I also didn't know there were arrows telling me the direction.) Thread the entire spool 3-4 layers but make sure each layer is flat and side by side in its "own lane", not willy nilly. Don't over fill. 😊

Thank you for taking the time to create this tutorial. Im a woman, never used a weedwacker let alone strung it. Someone in the store showed me exactly what to do... i got home and said im gonna google. Your video was first. Decent vid, but you only went around once. You're going to have to re-string it all the time that way. You can wrap it around, multiple layers, just make sure to not overlap or criss-coss on any single layer and keep them "in their own lane." I think there's an indicator on the spool to show the maximum depth.

My previous weed eater just needed a tap on the ground but on this one ive literally been unplugging it then taking the spool out to manually pull more string. I feel really dumb asking because I know it shouldn't be that hard! Thanks in advance for any feed back
