Any tips on actually implementing these reaction shots, wall bouncing, etc. I have been watching ayour videos and Avexys (sorry if that’s misspelled) and a few other youtubers vids for Gears 5 and I have trouble learning when to actually use it in matches. I’m sure just more practice and experiencing more situations will be the answer, but when it comes down to it in a match I feel like I never know when to do it and wind up making the same mistakes over and over. Love the videos though man. The way you guys play blows my mind lol

The biggest problem is just figuring out your timing for the shot, awareness, and being unpredictable is key! Someone who sits on that left trigger does not miss at all haha is the ultimate goal and show of growth when it comes to reaction shotting. Practice makes perfect.

I didn’t realize how much skills you have to have in gears. I thought Fortnite required skills. Now I have to get back and master gears. COD is so easy for me. Now I need a lot of play time to get beast mode.

Had no idea the reaction shot was named after the guy who invented it. That’s pretty cool. I always did wonder why it was called a “reaction” shot? So does that mean the pop and slap shot was named after users with pop and slap in their names?

When u up A shoot.. are u ever letting go to shoot or u just completely holding up A and it allows u to have a shot after leaving cover?

What is paddles? And what is claw? I'm a new player. Do I need a mod joypad to practice a good wall bouncing? For example a scuf or battlebeaver or controller Elite by MS?

Paddles are things you put on a controller, I recommend the Xbox Elite Controller that you can map to be any button on your controller so rather than pressing that button you push a button on the bottom of your controller and claw is a way to hold your controller look it up

I learned to reaction shot because I had too. I play default, claw, south paw, and inverted with max sensitivity on all gears except ue and gears 1.

My problem is that I have no idea where to aim the camera when I try to reaction shot someone outside of cover. I thought putting them in the middle of my screen like you normally do would be the right angle, but it’s not. I don’t know how to judge how far to offset the center of the screen from my opponent. Also trying to reaction shot moving left around cover is more difficult for me. Not sure why, when it should be the mirror opposite...

Can you do it in the direction you are coming from. Say someone is on the other side of cover and you jump right but shoot left to shoot them

hey everybody, i need your help. i am practicing reactions shots alot but i face a problem. i play m+kb on pc, and when i try to do reaction shots THIS happens: i come out of cover pressing "space" and holding "w" and immediately move my mouse in the direction i want to shoot. so far so good but the character starts moving in that direction where i placed my shot. he just doesnt continue running STRAIGHT like it should wth am i doing wrong?

You are basically up a'ing. On the sticks you have to change the direction of the sticks so you keep going straight. I think It Works the same way with KB, release W and press A (i dont know KB inputs, Just guessing)

I'm a OG and if anyone came out wit that shot I'd say reydelosmuertos did or Angel of Evil. They was doing shots like that and more 1rst week of games release. When I say 1rst released I'm speaking of the Original Gears Of War, and people did use that shot in Gears 2 also it was usually use when coming out of a bounce between cover and used to take closest enemy out in a 2 v 1 situation the turning and taking out 2nd enemy.
