The lambency was almost unknown by the COG and humanity up until Gears 3

@@Void_Wars yes but actualy no... lambency was already known in gears 1 with the lambent wretchs (terribly stupid that they didnt get a comeback in gears 3 imo) what was not known was the war between lambents and locusts, which was only exposed late in gears 2 while in nexus. as for the why lambent wretches used to work with the locust in gears 1, id say thats either just a plot hole cause they didnt know what they wanted to do with lambents yet (even tho we could argue that those wretches could have just been some locusts experiments, like the devient locusts ukkon made in gears tactic by injecting them with imulsion)

Tbf very little is known about lambancy at this point. Up until that day I think the only recorded sightings from the cog were lambent wretches, and they had almost no visible mutations outside of glowing and exploding upon death

They did that stupid decision thing that we don't even know what the real result was and now there's another entire game they have to make to finish the story that we've had no development update on... I try not to hate or say mean things towards development but man is it frustrating...
