I like how when you die in this game, the background music becomes distorted and then fades to no noise as the little crimson omen in the center of the screen fades in as the screen turns red

The developers knew how to make Game over screens, simply showing the dead player and the music action fading as if the game was telling you: "Look at that effort for nothing, congratulations, you failed the mission and your life ended here"

So on insane mode, do enemies take many hits and you don't go down until someone revives you?

There is no reviving in Insane mode you take too much damage and you're dead. Enemies take a little more damage to kill but can be killed quickly with well placed shots.

Headshots are very effective with the sniper rifle. if you're using a gun like the lancer try to make all your shots count when hitting the enemies.

I haven't played 4 and 5 on the hardest difficulty yet but pick from the first three I would say each game has sections that requires an immense amount of patience to get through but I would go with 3.

You have to shoot these monsters far away in insane mode. You cant shoot this near them or they will explode and kill you. I gave you a hint while playing gears of war 2.
